English translation preserving Jain terms:
[Verse 140]
The explanation of the term 'vedadi' is as follows: It (the nupunsaka-veda) encompasses and transmigrates into the thirteen prakritis.
[Verse 138]
The stri-veda and nupunsaka-veda transmigrate into the purusa-veda. The seven nokasayas necessarily transmigrate into the samjvalana-krodha.
[Verse 139]
The samjvalana-krodha necessarily transmigrates into the samjvalana-mana, the samjvalana-mana into the samjvalana-maya, and the samjvalana-maya into the samjvalana-lobha. There is no reverse or random order of this transmigration.
[Verse 140]
The explanation of this sutra-prabandha (textual composition) is that the jiva, while transmigrating, necessarily transmigrates into a bondage-similar prakrti, or at most into a less bondage-prone prakrti, but not into a more bondage-prone one.
