544. If one who has gone to the Asana (seat) dies, he is not able to go to the Naragati (state of hell), Tiryanchagati (state of sub-human beings) or Manushyagati (state of human beings). Definitely, he attains the Devagati (state of celestial beings). 545. Even with one Bajra (thunderbolt-like) Ayuga (life-span), he is not able to subside the Kashayas (passions). 546. Due to this reason, he does not go to the Naragati, Tiryanchajoni (sub-human state) or Manushyagati.

547. This entire exposition is regarding the Purisavedi (one who experiences the male nature) who has arisen due to the Krodha-kashaya (anger passion). 548. The distinction of the Purisavedi who has arisen due to Mana (pride) passion. 549. That is as follows. 550. As long as the subsidence of the seven Nokaṣāyas (minor passions) is not complete, there is no distinction. 551. Experiencing the Mana, he subsides the Krodha (anger). 552. Just as the one who has arisen due to Krodha has the capacity to subside Krodha, similarly the one who has arisen due to Mana also has the capacity to subside Krodha. 553. The primary state of Krodha does not exist. 554. Just as the one who has arisen due to Krodha has the primary state of both Krodha and Mana, similarly the one who has arisen due to Mana has the primary state of Mana. 555.
