The remaining year is gone. But due to the flowing teachings, the state of Samyaktva-prakriti remains for eight years. The remaining states are destroyed by the destruction of the state-segment. When this final destruction of the state-segment occurs in Samyag-mithyatva, at that time there is a transition from the inferior state of Samyag-mithyatva to the superior state of the region. And at the same time, there is the superior state of the region of Samyaktva-prakriti. ||58-59||
The churning-like destruction of the state of Samyaktva-prakriti, which remains for eight years, will be explained according to the flowing teachings. It is as follows: The destruction of the state-segment, which begins at the first time of the non-doing, and is equal to the number of parts of the Palyopama, continues until the state of the Palyopama, which is equal to the number of parts of the Palyopama, is attained. When the state of the Palyopama remains, the number of parts of the Palyopama are taken to destroy the state-segment. When that is also passed, the remaining parts of the Palyopama are taken to destroy the state-segment. In this way, thousands of state-segments are passed. After that, when the state of the Palyopama remains, which is equal to the number of parts of the Palyopama, a state called Dūrāvakṛṣṭi comes. Then the measure of the state-segment is equal to the number of parts of the remaining part of the Palyopama.
