## Kasaya Pahud Sutta [8 Chatuhsthana-Arthadhikar Samaanam Koham Vedayati. 23. Jo Savveshi [ Sankhejjasankejjanaantehi ] Bhavehim Utsama Na Gacchai, So Pavvadaraisamaanam Koham Vedayati (4). 24. Edaanumaanayam Sesanam Pi Kasayaanam Kayavvam. 25. Evam Chattari Suttaghaao Vihasidaao Bhavanti.
Evam Chautthaane Tti Samattam Aniogaddaaram. Vishesharth- Just as a line formed on the earth due to excessive heat from a light plow can remain for up to six months, similarly, one who harbors the feeling of revenge for half a month to six months should be considered similar to the line on the earth. During the time of the rise of this type of kasaya, the being cannot hold either restraint or unrestraint. However, they do hold samyaktva.
Churnisu- A being who does not attain liberation even after countless, innumerable, and infinite births experiences anger like a mountain king. ||23||
Vishesharth- Just as a crack formed in a mountain rock never heals, similarly, when anger arises due to some reason and remains in a being for countless, innumerable, and infinite births, and even after such a long time, they become eager to take revenge upon seeing their opponent, they are called similar to a mountain king. When this type of kasaya arises, the being cannot hold samyaktva and remains in mithyatva. This is the fourth type of anger kasaya. To indicate this, the Churnikar has given the number (4) at the end of the above sutra. The aspect of anger similar to a mountain king, etc., mentioned above, and the time period of six months, etc., should not be considered contradictory to the earlier statement in the Upayoga-Adhikar, where the time of each kasaya is mentioned as an antarmuhurt. In reality, the duration of any kasaya cannot exceed an antarmuhurt. However, the description of the duration of these kasayas mentioned here should be understood in relation to the feeling of revenge, the remaining wound, desire, or karmic imprint.
Churnisu- Similarly, based on this analogy, the location of the remaining kasayas should also be explained with examples. In this way, the explanation of four sutra-gathaas has been done. Similarly, the explanation of the remaining twelve gathas should also be done. ||24-25||
