## 9. Vyajan-Asthahiyaros
1. Vyajane is the sutra of the Aniyogadhar.
2. It is as follows:
(33) Krodha, kopa, rosha, akshama, sanjwalan, kalha, vaddi, jhanjha, dosha, and vivada, these ten are synonymous with krodha. ||86||
(34) Mana, mad, dapp, thambho, ukas, pagas, samukasso, attukariso, paribhava, and ussid, these ten are synonymous with manakshaya. ||87||
## 9. Vyajan-Arthaadhikaro
The Churnisutra now explains the Vyajan named Aniyogadhar. It is as follows: ||1-2||
Anger, wrath, rage, intolerance, burning, strife, increase, turmoil, hatred, and dispute, these ten are synonymous with anger. ||86||
**Specific meaning:**
- Anger or wrath is the act of getting angry.
- The intensity of anger is called rage.
- The absence of forgiveness or peace is called intolerance.
- That which burns both self and others is called burning.
- Fighting with another or causing another to fight is called strife.
- That which increases sin, disgrace, strife, and hatred is called increase.
- The extreme result of intense distress is called turmoil.
- Internal dislike or impurity is called hatred.
- The name dispute refers to competition or conflict.
Thus, these ten names are synonyms for anger.
Pride, arrogance, conceit, stiffness, excellence, preeminence, ambition, self-importance, contempt, and arrogance, these ten are synonymous with pride. ||87||

- To consider oneself superior due to caste, lineage, etc. is called pride.
- Being intoxicated like alcohol due to caste-pride, etc. is called arrogance.
- To manifest the increased ego due to arrogance is called conceit.
- To speak in a way that is unyielding or self-important due to excessive pride is called stiffness.
- To desire superiority in one's knowledge, wealth, or fame, etc. is called excellence.
- To manifest excellence is called preeminence.
- To make great efforts for excellence and preeminence is called ambition.
- To believe that one is superior to all others in terms of caste, etc. is called self-importance.
- To despise or insult others is called contempt.
