## 252. Thus, all these terms are forty-two in number.
## 253. Out of these, twelve terms are considered as sthāna-pada.
## 254. How are these sthāna-pada?
## 255. For beings affected by māna, there are māna-kāla, no-mānakāla, and mixed-kāla.
## 256. For beings affected by krodha, there are krodha-kāla, no-krodha-kāla, and mixed-kāla.
## 257. Similarly, for beings affected by māyā and lobha.
**Special Meaning:** Here, only two types of time related to māna and krodha kṣayās are mentioned, i.e., māna-kāla and krodha-kāla are not mentioned. The reason for this is that in the present time, the time of beings affected by māyā kṣayā is more prevalent than the time of beings affected by māna and krodha kṣayās.
**Chūrṇi-sūtra:** In this way, in the present time, for beings affected by māyā kṣayā, there are ten types of time related to all four kṣayās in the past. For beings who are affected by lobha kṣayā in the present time, there are two types of māna-kāla, two types of krodha-kāla, two types of māyā-kāla, and three types of lobha-kāla in the past. ||249-250||
**Special Meaning:** Out of the twelve types of time related to the four kṣayās mentioned above, māna-kāla, krodha-kāla, and māyā-kāla are not included. The reason for this is that in the present time, the time of beings affected by lobha kṣayā is more prevalent than the time of beings affected by krodha, māna, and māyā kṣayās.
**Chūrṇi-sūtra:** In this way, in the present time, for beings affected by lobha kṣayā, there are nine types of time related to all four kṣayās in the past. Thus, these terms related to the time of the four kṣayās mentioned above are forty-two in number. ||251-252||
**Special Meaning:** Out of the twelve types of time related to māna kṣayā, eleven types related to krodha kṣayā, ten types related to māyā kṣayā, and nine types related to lobha kṣayā mentioned above, when combined (12+11+10+9=42), they become forty-two in number.
**Chūrṇi-sūtra:** Out of these forty-two types, twelve sthāna-pada should be considered as less important. ||253||
**Doubt:** How are these twelve sthāna-pada? ||254||
**Solution:** For beings affected by māna kṣayā, there are māna-kāla, no-mānakāla, and mixed-kāla. For beings affected by krodha kṣayā, there are krodha-kāla, no-krodha-kāla, and mixed-kāla. Similarly, for beings affected by māyā kṣayā, there are māyā-kāla, no-māyā-kāla, and mixed-kāla. And for beings affected by lobha kṣayā, there are lobha-kāla, no-lobha-kāla, and mixed-kāla. Thus, these are the twelve sthāna-pada. ||255-257||
