**157.** Two *payadis* (types of karma) enter the *udayaavali* (stream of karma) when *antarakaraṇa* (inner organ) is performed.
**158.** When *puruṣaved* (knowledge of the self) is destroyed, one *payādi* enters.
**159.** When *krodha* (anger) is destroyed, *māṇa* (pride) enters.
**160.** When *māṇa* is destroyed, *māyā* (delusion) enters.
**161.** When *māyā* is destroyed, *lobha* (greed) enters.
**162.** When *lobha* is destroyed, it becomes *apraveśaka* (non-entering).
**163.** Thus, the description of *sthānasamutkīrtanā* (enumeration of the stages of karma) is complete.
**Commentary:**
**157.** When the inner organ is active, the two *prakr̥tis* (substances) of *puruṣaved* and *sanjvalanakrodha* (burning anger) enter the *udayaavali*.
**Special Meaning:** The living being who performs *antarakaraṇa* establishes the first state of *puruṣaved* and *sanjvalanakrodha* for the duration of an *antarmuhūrta* (very short time). It then absorbs all the remaining substances, except for the remaining three *kaṣāyas* (passions) and the *nokaṣāyas* (non-passions). When the *antarakaraṇa* is completed, the first state of *puruṣaved* and *sanjvalanakrodha* remains. Within the *udayaavali* of the remaining eleven *prakr̥tis*, only a small amount of *gopuccha* (tail) remains. When the lower states of these *prakr̥tis* are completely destroyed, only two *prakr̥tis* enter the *udayaavali*. This is because the first state of any other *prakr̥ti* is impossible without *puruṣaved* and *sanjvalanakrodha*.
**158-162.** When *puruṣaved* is destroyed, one *sanjvalanakrodha* *prakr̥ti* enters the *udayaavali*. When *sanjvalanakrodha* is destroyed, *sanjvalanamāna* (burning pride) enters. When *sanjvalanamāna* is destroyed, *sanjvalanamāyā* (burning delusion) enters. When *sanjvalanamāyā* is destroyed, *sanjvalanalobha* (burning greed) enters. When *sanjvalanalobha* is destroyed, it becomes *apraveśaka*. This means that no *prakr̥ti* of *mohaniyakarma* (karma that causes delusion) enters the *udayaavali* anymore, because all its *prakr̥tis* have been destroyed and none remain.
**163.** This is how the description of *sthānasamutkīrtanā* is completed. The description of *svāmitva* (ownership) should be explained based on this *samutkīrtanā*.
**Special Meaning:** Certain stages are suitable for those who are *samyata* (self-controlled), and certain stages are suitable for those who are *asamyata* (uncontrolled).

**1.** The *gīvī* (living being) enters the *khavagaseḍhi* (vehicle of karma) with the *gīvīspaveśaga* (entry of the living being) and then enters the *aṇiyatṭigunaṭṭhāṇa* (stage of the subtle qualities) with the *aṭṭhaka* (eightfold) *sāsa* (breath). When *antarakaraṇa* is not performed, the thirteen *payadis* of the four *jalaṇa* (burning) and nine *navaokaṣāyas* (non-passions) enter the *udayaavali* of that *khavagaseḍhi*. This is the *samutkīrtanā*.
**2.** It is impossible for *puruṣaved* to be destroyed before *krodha* because it is the first state.
**3.** It is not possible for *māṇa* to be the first state in the *udayaavali* after *krodha* is destroyed. Therefore, it should be understood that two *payadis* enter the *udayaavali* at the same time, and then one enters alone. However, no karma enters when *lobha* is destroyed. This is because it is impossible for *vivakṣiyamohaṇīyakarma* (karma that causes delusion of liberation) to be destroyed before that.
