## Chapter 62: Elucidation of the Place of Arousal
**Verse 149:** When a being is aroused by *mithyatva* (false belief), twenty-six *prakritis* (constituents) enter the *udayavali* (stream of arising).
**Verse 150:** Then, in that very moment, twenty-eight *prakritis* enter the *udayavali*.
**Verse 151:** If a being, having been liberated from *kasaya* (passions) and *uvasama* (subduing), attains the *sasadanagunasthan* (state of the subtle qualities) at the end of the *darshanamohaniya* (obscuring of perception) stage, then, when aroused by *mithyatva*, twenty-six *prakritis* enter the *udayavali*.
**Verse 152:** Then, in that very moment, twenty-eight *prakritis* enter the *udayavali*.
**Explanation:** This is because the arising of *mithyatva* is naturally found in the *sasadanagunasthan*. One should not doubt that when the infinite *kasayas* (passions) did not exist, how could their arising occur without their binding? The solution is that due to the *parinamas* (transformations) that cause the fall from the *samyaktva* (right faith) mountain, the remaining *kasayas* like *apratyakhyana* (non-rejection) are immediately transformed into infinite *kasayas* and arise. After a moment, the arising of the remaining three infinite *kasayas* outside the *udayavali* leads to the entry of twenty-five *prakritis*.
**Churnisutra:** When the said being is aroused by the *mithyatva* nature, twenty-six *prakritis* enter the *udayavali* (because the being has deposited *samyagmithyatva* and *samyaktva* outside the *udayavali*). After a moment, when *samyagmithyatva* and *samyaktva* enter the *udayavali*, twenty-eight *prakritis* enter, meaning all *prakritis* arise. || 149-150 ||
Now, to explain the specific characteristics of the entry of a being who attains the *sasadanagunasthan* at the end of the *darshanamohaniya* stage during the time of the subduing of *kasayas*, the Churnikara says:
**Churnisutra:** Or, if a being who has fallen from the *upasama* (subduing) series attains the *sasadanagunasthan* at the end of the *darshanamohaniya* stage during the time of *upasama* (subduing) *samyagdristi* (right vision), then, after that time, when aroused by *mithyatva*, twenty-six *prakritis* enter the *udayavali*. || 151 ||
**Special Meaning:** A being who has fallen from the *upasama* series and is a *samyagdristi* (right vision) who has only one moment left in the *upasama* (subduing) *samyaktva* (right faith) stage, when he attains the *sasadanagunasthan*, will enter twenty-two *prakritis* into the *udayavali* due to the arising of one infinite *kasaya*. The remaining three infinite *prakritis* will be deposited outside the *udayavali*. In the next moment, he will fall and attain the *mithyatva* (false belief) *gunasthan* (state of qualities). There, the arising of *mithyatva* nature and the remaining three infinite *kasayas* together will lead to the entry of twenty-six *prakritis*. One should understand that he will not have the entry of twenty-five *prakritis* like the previously mentioned being.
**Churnisutra:** In the subsequent time, that is, in the second moment of reaching the *mithyatva* *gunasthan*, when *samyagmithyatva* and *samyaktva* arise, twenty-eight *prakritis* enter the *udayavali*.
