English translation preserving Jain terms:
(1) Kasayapahuda Sutra, Verse 64, Sutra 16. The one state of the twelve kasayas (passions) - right belief, wrong belief - is a state of two-moment duration.
This matter is stated in the form of a sutra in the Kammapayadi as follows: 'The state of the anudayas (quasi-passions) is one of two-moment duration.' (Kammapa Sattadhi.)
The readers can easily understand that the above commentary is based on this verse of the Kammapayadi.
(2) In the Anubhagavibhakti, the three types of satkarmasthaana (meritorious karmic abodes) of the mohaniya (deluding) karma are described as follows:
Sutra 186. Satkarmasthaanas are of three types - bandhsamutpattika, hatasamutpattika, and hatahatasamutpattika. 187. Bandhasamutpattika are the least in number. 188. Hatasamutpattika are innumerable times more. 189. Hatahatasamutpattika are innumerable times more than the hatasamutpattika.
That is, the satkarmasthaanas are of three types - bandhasamutpattika, hatasamutpattika, and hatahatasamutpattika. Among these, the bandhasamutpattika are the least, the hatasamutpattika are innumerable times more than them, and the hatahatasamutpattika are innumerable times more than the hatasamutpattika.
Now, see how the same matter that was stated in 4 sutras in the Kasayapahuda commentary is stated in a very concise form in the sutra of the Kammapayadi: 'Bandhahatahatauppattigani kamaso asankhagunitani.' (Kammapa Sattadhi.)
(3) In the Pradeśavibhakti, the Churnika sutras regarding the minimum and maximum ownership of the pradeśasatkarmasthaana (spatial meritorious karmic abodes) are based on the verses in the Sattadhikara of the Kammapayadi that expound the ownership of the pradeśasatkarmasthaana. This can be clearly understood from the annotations given from page 185 to 167 of the Pradeśavibhakti. Here, only one example is given. The maximum ownership of the napumsakavedaka (neuter gender) that was stated in the Kasayapahuda commentary is as follows:
Page 186, Sutra 10. Whose is the maximum pradeśasatkarmasthaana of the napumsakavedaka? 11. It belongs to the Isana (Lord Siva), the last moment deity.
Now, match this with the following verse in the Kammapayadi: 'Parisavarassū Isanagassa carimammi samaye.' (Gatha 28) The word 'parisavara' means the napumsakavedaka.
(4) The 13 verses from 27 to 36 in the Samkramaprkarana (chapter on transmigration) of the Kasayapahuda, with some variations in the wording, are found verbatim in the Samkramaprkarana from 10 to 22 in the Kammapayadi, as mentioned earlier. For the comparison of the verses of the two texts, the readers should refer to the verses of the Kasayapahuda from page 260 to 271 and the corresponding verses of the Kammapayadi given in the annotations below them.
