254. Destruction of Mithyatva (false belief) is a hani (diminution).
255. Whose is the utkarsha (highest) avasthan (state) of sthiti-samkrama (transition of state) and padankshepa (laying down of karmic matter)?
256. The one who has attained samyaktva (right belief) after previously having mithyatva (false belief), and then has again attained mithyatva, the second-time samyag-dristi (right-viewer) has the utkarsha avasthan of those two karmas.
257. From this (the previous statement), the jaghanya (lowest) is to be understood.
258. Whose is the jaghanya vriddhi (lowest increase) of the karmas other than samyaktva and samyag-mithyatva?
259. The one whose utkarsha sthiti-samkrama (highest transition of state) is from his own lower state, his jaghanya vriddhi occurs.
260. Whose is the jaghanya hani (lowest diminution)?
261. The one whose tad-prayogya (corresponding) jaghanya sthiti-samkrama (lowest transition of state) occurs, his jaghanya hani occurs for that karma.
