Gatha 58] Exposition of the Gradation of Sthiti-Samkrama (Transition of Existence)
112. The Utkrista (highest) Sthiti-Samkrama (transition of existence) of the Sixteen Kashayas (passions) is distinctly superior. 113. The Utkrista Sthiti-Samkrama of Samyaktva (right belief) and Samyag-Mithyatva (mixed right and wrong belief) is equally superior. 114. The Utkrista Sthiti-Samkrama of Mithyatva (wrong belief) is distinctly superior. 115. Similarly, in all the Gatis (states of existence).
116. Now, the Jaghanya (lowest) Sthiti-Samkrama is described. 117. The Jaghanya Sthiti-Samkrama of Samyaktva and Samjvalana-Lobha (passions of delusion and greed) is the lowest. 118. The Yat-Sthitika-Samkrama (transition of existence at the time of death) of these is Asankhyeya-Guna (innumerable times). 119. The Jaghanya Sthiti-Samkrama of Samjvalana-Maya (passions of delusion and deceit) is Sankhyeya-Guna (countable times). 120. The Yat-Sthitika-Samkrama of this is distinctly superior. 121. The Jaghanya Sthiti-Samkrama of Samjvalana-Mana (passions of delusion and pride) is distinctly superior. 122. The Yat-Sthitika-Samkrama of this is distinctly superior. 123. The Jaghanya Sthiti-Samkrama of Samjvalana-Krodha (passions of delusion and anger) is distinctly superior. 124. The Yat-Sthitika-Samkrama of this is distinctly superior. 125. The Sthiti-Samkrama of Purusha-Veda (passions of delusion and sex) is distinctly superior.
