Section on Exposition of Satkarmasthan (Auspicious Karmic Stations)
185. Just as the coils (vaddio) of the serpent (bhujagar) are bound, so the auspicious karmas (santakamma) are manifested (vikayanya).
186. The auspicious karmas (santakamma) are of three types: bandhasamutpattika (arising from bondage), hadasamutpattika (arising from destruction), and hadahadasamutpattika (arising from repeated destruction).
187. The bandhasamutpattika are the least in number among all.
188. The hadasamutpattika are innumerable (asankhejja) times more than the bandhasamutpattika.
189. The hadahadasamutpattika are innumerable (asankhejja) times more than the hadasamutpattika. This shows that the minimum (jhaghanya) anubhag (intensity) of manasamjvalana (delusion) is infinite (ananta) times more. Similarly, the minimum anubhag of krodhasamjvalana (anger) is particularly high, the minimum anubhag of mayasamjvalana (deceit) is particularly high, the minimum anubhag of lobhasamjvalana (greed) is particularly high, and the minimum anubhag of mithyatva-prakriti (false belief) is infinite (ananta) times more.
The Jain commentator Jaydhavala has provided the information at the beginning of this section that the minimum anubhag of arati-prakriti (dislike) is innumerable (asankhyat) times more than the minimum anubhag of shoka-prakriti (grief), which is a characteristic of the naragati (hell-bound state).
The Churnisutras explain that just as the exposition of anubhagabandha (intensity of karmic bondage) was done through the three anuyogadvara (modes of exposition) of bhujaakar (serpentine), padanikshepa (placement of feet), and vriddhi (increase), the same should be done for the anubhag of satkarmasthan (auspicious karmic stations) as well.
