**Special Meaning:** After the binding of any desired karma, all karma-situations have passed, only one time more than the *udayavali* measure of karma-situation remains, the remaining *pradeshagra* of that karma are not eligible for *utkarshana*, because the *utkarshana* of any karma can only happen up to the *karma-sthiti* measure, it is impossible to have *utkarshana* beyond that. Similarly, the *pradeshagra* of the karma which has only two times more than the *udayavali* measure of karma-situation remaining, are not eligible for *utkarshana*. In this way, increasing one time at a time, the *pradeshagra* of the karma whose binding has only the *jghanya abada* measure of karma-situation remaining, are not eligible for *utkarshana*. Because the rule for *utkarshana* is that, leaving the *abada* of the newly bound karma, the *dravy* which has undergone *utkarshana* is deposited in the newly created *nisheka*. There is no creation of *nisheka* in the *abada* of the newly bound karma, therefore, the *dravy* which is to be *utkarshana* is not given in the *abada*. But the *karma-sthiti* of the previous karma has only the *jghanya abada* measure remaining, and it cannot undergo *utkarshana* beyond the *jghanya abada*, that is, beyond its *karma-sthiti*. Therefore, the *pradeshagra* of the karma whose *karma-sthiti* has only the *jghanya abada* measure remaining, are not eligible for *utkarshana*. The karma whose entire *karma-sthiti* has passed, only one time more than the *jghanya abada* measure of *karma-sthiti* remains, then the *dravy* of the remaining *abada* *nisheka*, except the last *nisheka*, can undergo *utkarshana* and be given in the first *nisheka* created on top of the *jghanya abada* of the new karma. In this way, increasing one time at a time, the *pradeshagra* of the karma whose *karma-sthiti* of *varsha*, *varsha-prithaktva* measure, *sagara* or *sagara-prithaktva* measure remains, are eligible for *utkarshana* of the remaining *pradeshagra* of the remaining *sthiti*. But the *pradeshagra* which have entered the *udayavali* are not eligible for *utkarshana*. For example, suppose the *karma-sthiti* of a karma is 70 times (70 *kodakodi* *sagara*). The measure of *avali* is 4 times. The measure of *jghanya abada* is 10 times. If 65 times have passed since the time of karma-binding, only one time more than the *shravli* (4+1=5) remains (or the karma whose *karma-sthiti* has passed one time more than the *udayavali* measure), the *dravy* of the *nisheka* of the remaining *sthiti* (5 times) is not eligible for *utkarshana*. Because the *jghanya abada* of the newly bound karma at that time is 10 times. But the *pradeshagra* of the remaining *sthiti* of the karma whose *sthiti* remains more than 10 times, are eligible for *utkarshana*, because its *dravy* can be given in the first *nisheka* of the newly bound karma above the *jghanya abada* of 10 times.
