Chāyā
Eng. Trans.-Oh lovely (fellow) she not ugly, afflicted by the fire of Cupid and causing affliction in the mother and the maternal aunts, burns even at the cold wind.
Remarks-From Pischel's reading the sense would be that the victim of Cupid suffering the pangs of separation is an aged matron (not a young girl) being the maternal aunt of some one's mother and she is exciting pangs (in the heart of the sympathisers)-a sense no doubt, but which cannot be accepted as love poetry but as a parody of it. If the two words मादालिआमाआलिया and खेअकरी are combined we find a piteous picture of a love-lorn girl.
