The sign of Nag is that of the serpent, the sign of the Vidyutkumar is that of the Vajra, the sign of Suparnakumar is that of the Garuda, the sign of Agnikumar is that of the Ghat, the sign of Vatakumar is that of the Ashva, the sign of Stanitkumar is that of the Vardhaman Sakoraput (Sakorayugal), the sign of Udhikumar is that of the Makara, the sign of Dweepkumar is that of the Lion, and the sign of Dikkumar is that of the Elephant. The signs of Nagkumar and all others are present in their adornments. All of their clothing, weapons, ornaments, etc., are diverse.
Differentiation of Vyantaras - All the Vyantaradevas reside in the buildings and homes of the three realms: upper, middle, and lower. They move to various places willingly or under the inspiration of others. Some of them even serve humans. They are called Vyantaras because they reside within the interiors of various mountains, caves, and forests. Among them, there are ten types of Vyantaradevas named Kinnar — Kinnar, Kipurush, Kipurushottam, Kinnaroottam, Hridayangam, Roopshali, Anindit, Manoram, Ratipriya, and Ratisreshth. There are ten types of Vyantaradevas called Kimpurush — Purush, Satpurush, Mahapurush, Purushvrishabh, Purushottam, Atipurush, Marudev, Marut, Meruprabh, and Yashasvan. Mahoraga has ten types — Bhujang, Bhogshali, Mahakavya, Atikay, Skandshali, Manoram, Mahaweg, Maheshvaksh, Merukant, and Bhasvan. Gandharva has twelve types — Hahaha, Hoho, Tumburav, Narad, Rishivadik, Bhootvadik, Kadamb, Mahakadamb, Raivat, Vishwavasu, Geetarati, and Geetayash. Yaksha has thirteen types — Poornabhadra, Manibhadra, Shvetabhadra, Haribhadra, Sumanobhadr, Vyatipatika Bhadra, Subhadra, Sarvatobhadra, Manushy Yaksha, Vanadhipati, Vaanahara, Roopyaksha, and Yakshottam. Rakshasa has seven types — Bhima, Mahabhima, Vighna, Vinayak, Jalarakshas, Rakshas, and Brahmarakshasa. Bhuta has nine types — Surup, Pratirup, Atirup, Bhootoottam, Skandik, Mahaskandik, Mahaveg, Pratichchhanna, and Akashag. Pret has fifteen types — Kooshmand, Patak, Josh, Ahank, Kal, Mahakal, Chauksh, Achauksh, Talapichach, Mukharapichach, Adhastarak, Deha, Mahavideh, Tooshnik, and Vanapichach.
The signs of the eight types of Vyantaras are respectively Ashoka, Champaka, Nag, Tumburu, Vat, Khatvang, Sulasa, and Kadambak. Except for Khatvang, all the other signs are of tree species that are present in their adornments, etc.
