निर्वाण भी प्राप्त कर सकते है । पाँच भूमियों के नारक मनुष्य गति में संयम धारण कर सकते है । छः भूमियों से निकले हुए नारक जीव देशविरति और सात भमियों से निकले हुए सम्यक्त्व प्राप्त कर सकते है।
द्वीप-समुद्र प्रादि की अवस्थिति-रत्नप्रभा भूमि को छोड शेष छः भूमियों में न तो द्वीप, समुद्र, पर्वत और सरोवर ही है; न गाँव, शहर आदि है; न वृक्ष, लता आदि बादर वनस्पतिकाय है; न द्वीन्द्रिय से लेकर पञ्चेन्द्रिय तक तिर्यच है; न मनुष्य है और न किसी प्रकार के देव ही है। रत्नप्रभा का कुछ भाग मध्यलोक मे सम्मिलित है, अत. उसमें द्वीप, समुद्र, ग्राम, नगर, वनस्पति, तिर्यच, मनुष्य, देव होते है । रत्नप्रभा के अतिरिक्त शेष छ. भूमियों में केवल नारक और कुछ एकेन्द्रिय जीव ही है । इस सामान्य नियम का भी अपवाद है, क्योंकि उन भूमियों मे कभी किसी स्थान पर कुछ मनुष्य, देव और पञ्चेन्द्रिय तिर्यंचों का होना भी सम्भव है। मनुष्य तो इस अपेक्षा से सम्भव है कि केवली समुद्घात करनेवाला मनुष्य सर्वलोकव्यापी होने से उन भूमियों में भी आत्मप्रदेश फैलाता है। वैक्रियलब्धिवाले मनुष्य की भी उन भूमियो तक पहुँच है। तिर्यचों की पहुँच भी उन भूमियों तक है, परन्तु यह केवल वैक्रियलब्धि की अपेक्षा से ही मान्य है । कुछ देव कभीकभी अपने पूर्वजन्म के मित्रो को दुःखमुक्त करने के उद्देश्य से नरकों में पहुँच जाते है। किन्तु देव भी केवल तीन भूमियों तक ही जा पाते है। नरकपाल कहे जानेवाले परमाधार्मिक देव जन्म से ही पहली तीन भूमियो मे रहते हैं, अन्य देव जन्म से केवल पहली भूमि मे पाये जाते है । ६ ।
मध्यलोक जम्बूद्वीपलवणादयः शुभनामानो द्वीपसमुद्राः । ७। द्विद्विविष्कम्भाः पूर्वपूर्वपरिक्षेपिणो वलयाकृतयः। ८। तन्मध्ये मेरुनाभित्तो योजनशतसहस्रविष्कम्भो जम्बूद्वीपः। ९ । तत्र भरतहैमवतहरिविदेहरम्यकहैरण्यवतैरावतवर्षाः क्षेत्राणि । १० । तद्विभाजिनः पूर्वापरायता हिमवन्महाहिमवन्निषधनीलरुक्मिशिखरिणो वर्षधरपर्वताः । ११ । द्विर्धातकीखण्डे । १२ । पुष्करार्धे च । १३। प्राङ्मानुषोत्तरान् मनुष्याः । १४ । आर्या म्लेच्छाश्च । १५ । भरतैरावतविदेहाः कर्मभूमयोऽन्यत्र देवकुरूत्तरकुरुभ्यः । १६ ।

Narcissistic beings can also achieve liberation. Beings in the hells of the five realms can maintain self-restraint in human form. Beings who have emerged from the six realms can attain partial detachment and beings who have emerged from the seven realms can attain right knowledge.
Except for the Ratnaprabha land, which is situated in the island-sea region, the other six realms do not have any islands, oceans, mountains, or lakes; nor do they have villages, towns, and such; nor do they have trees, creepers, or any botanical flora; nor do they have beings from two senses to five senses; neither are there humans nor any type of gods. A portion of Ratnaprabha is included in the middle world, thus in it there are islands, oceans, villages, cities, flora, animal beings, humans, and gods. In addition to Ratnaprabha, the other six realms contain only beings of the hells and some one-sensed beings. However, this general rule has exceptions, as in those realms it is sometimes possible for some humans, gods, and five-sensed animals to exist in certain places. Humans can exist in this regard because the liberated omniscient being, being all-pervasive throughout the universe, also extends the soul regions to those realms. There is also access for humans who have attained the state of Vaikriya. Animal beings can also reach those realms, but this is acknowledged only in relation to the state of Vaikriya. Some gods occasionally enter the hells to relieve their friends from previous births from suffering. However, gods can only reach the first three realms. The supreme righteous gods, known as the guardians of hell, reside in the first three realms from birth, while other gods are found only in the first realm.
