[2.37-49]
They can, when angry, burn their deserve through that body, and when pleased, they can bring peace to a benefactor through that body. Thus, the use of the radiance body can be in curses, blessings, etc. Thus, experiencing happiness and sorrow, and the bondage of auspicious and inauspicious karma is accounted as its utilization.
Query: When examined more subtly, the karmic body, which is not the same as the radiance, being sensationless and non-composite, can also be utilized, as it is the root of all other bodies. Therefore, the utilization of other bodies should actually be considered as the utilization of the karmic body; then why is it referred to as non-utilized?
Answer: Indeed, the karmic body is certainly of the type that can be utilized. Here, the intention behind calling it non-utilized is simply that until other bodies are not supportive, this type of utilization cannot be accomplished with just the karmic body; that is, to achieve that specific utility, the four bodies like the radiant one are indeed the means. Hence, they are called supportive, and due to the traditional understanding of being a means, the karmic body is called non-utilized.

Birth-related and Artificiality - One question that arises is how many bodies are related to birth, how many are artificial, which body among the birth-related is born from which birth, and what is the reason for artificiality? The answer to this question is given here in four sutras.
And among gods and hell beings, the radiance and karmic bodies are neither birth-related nor artificial; they indeed exist even after birth, yet they are without beginning and end. The supportive body is the one associated with birth, which arises from two births: womb and conception, and whose owners are humans and animals. The vibratory body can be of two types: birth-related and artificial. The birth-related one arises through induced birth. The cause of the artificial vibratory body is the attainment. Attainment is a type of energy derived from austerity, possible only in a few womb-born humans and animals. Therefore, those entitled to such vibratory bodies resulting from attainment are only womb-born humans and animals. The cause of artificial vibratory bodies arises from another kind of attainment, which is not derived from austerity but is obtained from birth. Such attainment is considered to be found only in certain aerial beings. Therefore, they are also entitled to attainment-derived (artificial) vibratory bodies. The nourished body is artificial. Its cause is specific attainment, which does not occur among other species except for humans, and even among humans, it is only among specific monks. Query: Which specific monk possesses it?
