The Sanskrit chāaā :
धृष्टा तरुणी धावति सम्मुखा धृष्टः तरुण प्रसारयति बाहू 1 कुट्टिनी रोदिति अश्रुभिः धूर्ता प्रमुश्चति आर्तनादम् ॥

With धिंग धिगड -, lusty or burly (young boy or girl) compare Hindi धींग, धींगा, धीगडा, Gujarani धींगो, Griya घांगटा 'unmarried youth', धांगडी ' unmarried girl', Marathi धींगड, धांगड ‘rude, loutish', धांगडी 'hoyden' etc. For धाह see H. C. Bhayani, Paumacariu. I index; R. Shriyan, Deśya Words from the Mahā purāna of Puspadanta, item no. 128. The situation to which the verse relates seems to be one in which a lusty prostitute rushes to meet a young but penniless hero disregarding the forbidding of the bawd, and consequently the latter cries helplessly and clamours for help.

The text as given at Bhoja's Srhgāraprakāsa (V. Raghavan, 1963, pp. 479–480) slightly varies from the above. The text may be restored as follows:
The Sanskrit chāyā:
Pride as far आसइ तांवहि कीरु निरारिउ भासइ । हारि लक्ख - जण - जुत्तहो दिज्जउ संखअत्त वणिउत्तहो ॥
- हारि ।
यावत् नरपति: विनयम् प्रकाशयति तावत् कीरः निश्चितम् भाषते । लक्ष-जन-युक्ताय दीयताम् शङ्खदत्त-वणिक्पुत्राय ॥
