28. The illustration of the Apabhrasta variety of Jati (SP. p. 372). The printed text is as follows:
मुद्धे गहण गेण्हउ तं धरिमुई णिए हत्थे ।
णिच्चउ सुन्दरि तुहउवरि सुरअप्पहा अत्यि ॥ The same verse occurs in the SK. (p. 148). The text given there is as under.
मुद्धे गहण गेण्हउ तं धरि मुदं णिए हत्थे ।
णिच्छउ सुन्दरि तुह उवरि मम सुरअप्पहा अत्थि ॥ The verse may be restored as follows:
मुद्धे गहणउं गेण्ह तुहुं धरि मुद्दे णिअ-हत्थि ।
णिच्छिउ सुन्दरि तुह उवरि महु सुरअ-प्पिह अत्थि ॥ The Sanskrit chāyā :
मुग्धे ग्रहणकं गृहाण त्वम् धारय मुद्रां निज-हस्ते ।
निश्चितम् सुन्दरि तव उपरि मम सुरत-स्पृहा अस्ति ॥ The Metre is to be identified as Dohā.* 29. The illustration of the Aksiptika variety of Sravya (p. 381).
The printed text is as follows : पअपीडिअमहिसासुरदेहेहि भुअगमअलुआवअसिलेहिं ।
सुरसुहवेत्तवलिअघवलच्छि हिं जअइ सहासं वअणुमहलच्छिहिं ॥ - The same verse occurs in the SK. (p. 307), where we find ° ससिलेहि • for ° असिलेहि at the end of the first line. The text may be restored as follows:
पअ-पीडिअ-महिसासुरदेहहि भुअण-भअलुआव (?)-ससिलेहहि । सुर-सुह-दत-चलिअ-धवलच्छिहि जअइ सहासु वअणु महलच्छिहि ॥
*The illustration of the Sādhārant variety of Jati (SP. p. 372) (क्रीडन्ति प्रसरन्ति मधु etc.) and that of Bhasaslesa (SP. p. 388) (धीरागच्छदु etc.) are taken from Rudrata's Kavyālaikāra 4, 21 and 4, 15) and their correct text and explanation are given by Namisādhu.
