The Jain Image Inscriptions of Ahmadabad

This Pañchatīrthi bronze image of Shāntinātha with parikar is preserved in Shāmalā Pārshvanāth Temple in Lambesara's pole, Calico Dome, Relief Road. It was made by Dosí Jogāka along with his wife Jasamăde and sons Sahạsā, Tejā and other family members for his own bliss. Jogāka was the son of Dosī Dhākața and Rāmāti of Vādya caste and was the resident of Ahammadāvāda [Ahmedabad]. This icon was installed by Srisuri in V.S. 1517, Phālguna, su.di. 3, Sukra (i.e. Friday, 13 Feb., 1461 A.D.). In the centre of this icon the main tirtharkara is missing. ॥ संवत् १५१७ वर्षे फागुण शुदि ३ शुक्रे अहम्मदावाद वास्तव्य वायड ज्ञातीय दोसी धाकट भार्या रामातिसुत दोसी जोगाकेन भार्या जसमादे सुत सहसातेजादिसकल कुटुंबयुतेन आत्मश्रेयसे श्री शांतिनाथादि पंचतीर्थी कारितं प्रतिष्टि[ष्ठि]तं च विधिना श्रीसूरिभिः ।।

This Pañchatīrthi bronze image of Sambhavanātha with parikar is preserved in the above mentioned shrine and Temple. It was installed by Srisangha in V.S. 1517, Phālguna, su.di. 3, Sukra (i.e. Friday, 13 Feb., 1461 A.D.). This Bimba was made by Bai Maniki Shrāvikā of Shrīmāla caste, along with her family for the bliss of their own self. ।। संवत् १५१७ वर्षे फागुण सुदि ३ शुक्रे । श्री श्रीमाल ज्ञातीय धर्मा भार्या धर्मादे पुत्र आशा बई भाईया बई माणिकि श्राविक्यां स्वज्येष्ठि म. शिवा तत्पुत्र म. साधन मुख्य कुटुंब सहितया श्री अंचलगच्छेश श्री जयकेसरिसूरीणामुपदेशेन स्वश्रेयसे श्री संभवनाथबिंबं कारितं । प्रतिष्ठितं श्रीसंघेन ॥
