પગલું-૨ STEP-2
પ્રાકૃતમાં સંસ્કૃતની જેમ ત્રણ લિંગ છે : પુલિંગ, સ્ત્રીલિંગ અને નપુંસકલિંગ, તેમજ પ્રાકૃતમાં સંસ્કૃતિની જેમ સાત વિભક્તિઓ છે.
Like Sanskrit, there are three genders in Prakrit, i.e. masculine, feminine and neutral gender. Similary, like sanskrit, Prakrit has 7 (seven) cases. ૧ પદમા :- ક્રિયાનો કર્તા પહેલી વિભક્તિમાં મુકાય છે.
દા.ત. વાછો જીફા (બાળક જાય છે.) અહિં જવાની ક્રિયાનો કર્તા બાળક છે. તેથી તેને પહેલી વિભક્તિ લાગે છે. 1 st First :- Doer or the subject of an act is placed in the 1st case.
For e.g.: alit Toys "A child is going." there, the subject 'Child' is going,
So child is placed in 1st case. ૨ વીવા :- ક્રિયાનું કર્મ બીજી વિભક્તિમાં મુકાય છે.
દા.ત. ખરું વિવામિા (હું પાણી પીઉં છું.) સામાન્ય રીતે “શું? આ પ્રમાણે પૂછવાથી જે જવાબ મળે તેને કર્મ કહેવાય છે. અહીં “શું પીવે છે?' તેમ પૂછતા “પાણી’ આ પ્રમાણે જવાબ મળે છે. તેથી ન શબ્દને બીજી
વિભકિત લાગે છે. 2nd Second :- The object of the verb is placed in the 2nd case.
For eg.: Jo faina "I am drinking water." Generally, the answer you receive by asking the question "What", becomes the object. In this case,
the word 'Water' becomes the object and so it is placed in the 2nd case. ३ तइया :- ક્રિયાના સાધન અને કારણ ત્રીજી વિભક્તિમાં મુકાય છે.
દા.ત. સ્થળ સિદડ (હાથ વડે લખે છે.) લખવાની ક્રિયામાં કારણ કે સાધન તરીકે હાથ છે. તેથી હાથને ત્રીજી વિભક્તિ લગાડાય છે.
જ્યારે કર્મણિ પ્રયોગ હોય ત્યારે કર્મ પ્રથમ વિભક્તિમાં મુકાય છે, અને કર્તાને ત્રીજી વિભક્તિ લાગે છે. દા.ત. મુહિં સન્માનો વત્તા (મુનિઓ વડે સ્વાધ્યાય કરાય છે.) આ વાક્યમાં કર્તા “મુનિ' છે. તે ત્રીજી
વિભક્તિમાં છે અને સ્વાધ્યાય કર્મ છે, તે પહેલી વિભક્તિમાં છે. 3rd Third :- The Instrument and the reason.
For eg.: Ger Forg "He writes with his hands." In this sentence, 'hand' is the Saadhan or media so, it is placed in the third case. When the sen tence is in passive voice, then the object of the verb is placed in the 1st case and subject is placed in the 3rd case. For e.g.: qfi HOSTT3TT AF Exercise is done by the Munis. In this sentence, subject is Munis. So it is placed in 3rd case and the object is 'Exercise'- So it is placed in the 1st case.
