सत्तरहवा लेश्यापद : चतुर्थ उद्देशक ] [ 301 [1226 प्र.] भगवन् ! तेजोलेश्या वर्ण से कैसी है ? [1229 उ.] गौतम ! जैसे कोई खरगोश का रक्त हो, मेष (मेंढे) का रुधिर हो, सूअर का रक्त हो, सांभर का रुधिर हो, मनुष्य का रक्त हो, या इन्द्रगोप (वीरबहूटी) नामक कीड़ा हो, अथवा बाल-इन्द्रगोप हो, या बाल-सूर्य (उगते समय का सूरज) हो, सन्ध्याकालीन लालिमा हो, गुजा (चिरमी) के प्राधे भाग की लालिमा हो, उत्तम (जातिमान्) हींगलू हो, प्रवाल (मूगे) का अंकुर हो, लाक्षारस हो, लोहिताक्षमणि हो, किरमिची रंग का कम्बल हो, हाथी का तालु (तलुगा) हो, चीन नामक रक्तद्रव्य के आटे की राशि हो, पारिजात का फूल हो, जपापुष्प हो, किंशुक (टेसू) के फूलों की राशि हो, लाल कमल हो, लाल अशोक हो, लाल कनेर हो, अथवा लालबन्धुजीवक हो, (ऐसे रक्त वर्ण की तेजोलेश्या होती है।) [प्र.] भगवन् ! क्या तेजोलेश्या इसी रूप की होती है ? [उ.] गौतम ! यह अर्थ समर्थ नहीं है। तेजोलेश्या इन से भी इष्टतर, अधिक कान्त, अधिक प्रिय, अधिक मनोज्ञ और अधिक मनाम वर्ण वाली होती है। 1230, पम्हलेस्सा णं भंते ! केरिसिया वण्णेणं पण्णत्ता ? गोयमा ! से जहाणामए चंपे इ वा चंपयछल्ली इ वा चंपयभेदे इ वा हलिद्दा इ वा हलिद्दगुलिया इ वा हलिद्दामेए इ वा हरियाले इ वा हरियालगुलिया इ वा हरियालभेए इ वा चिउरे इ वा चिउररागे इ वा सुवणसिप्पी इ वा वरकणगणिहसे इ वा वरपुरिसवसणे इ वा अल्लइकुसुमे इ वा चंपयकुसुमे इ वा कणियारकुसुमे इ वा कुहंडियाकुसुमे इ वा सुवण्णहिया इ वा सुहिरणियाकुसुमे इ वा कोरेंटमल्लदामे इ वा पीयासोगे इ वा पीयकणबीरए इ वा पीयबंधुजीवए इवा। भवेतारूवा? गोयमा ! णो इणठे समठे, पम्हलेस्सा णं एत्तो इट्टतरिया चेव जाव मणामतरिया चैव वण्णणं पण्णत्ता। [1230 प्र.] भगवन् ! पद्मलेश्या वर्ण से कैसी है ? [1230 उ.] जैसे कोई चम्पा हो, चम्पक की छाल हो, चम्पक का टुकड़ा हो, हल्दी हो, हल्दी की गुटिका (गोली) हो, हरताल हो, हरताल की गुटिका (गोली) हो, हरताल का टुकड़ा हो, चिकुर नामक पीत वस्तु हो, चिकुर का रंग हो, या स्वर्ण की शुक्ति हो, उत्तम स्वर्ण-निकष (कसौटी पर खींची हुई स्वर्ण रेखा) हो, श्रेष्ठ पुरुष (वासुदेव) का पीताम्बर हो, अल्लकी का फूल हो, चम्पा का फूल हो, कनेर का फूल हो, कूष्माण्ड (कोले) की लता का पुष्प हो, स्वर्णयूथिका (जूही) का फूल हो, सुहिरण्यिका-कुसुम हो, कोरंट के फूलों की माला हो, पीत अशोक हो, पीला कनेर हो, अथवा पीला बन्धुजीवक हो, (इनके समान पद्मलेश्या पीले वर्ण की कही गई है।) [प्र.] भगवन् ! क्या पद्मलेश्या (वास्तव में ही) ऐसे रूप वाली होती है ?
