154] [प्रज्ञापनासूत्र (उपपात, समुद्घात एवं स्वस्थान की अपेक्षा) से लोक के असंख्यातवें भाग में हैं। वहाँ दाक्षिणात्य असुरकुमार देव एवं देवियाँ निवास करती हैं / वे (दाक्षिणात्य असुरकुमार देव) काले, लोहिताक्ष रत्न.. के समान अोठ वाले हैं,......' इत्यादि सब वर्णन यावत् 'भोगते हुए रहते हैं (भुजमाणा विहरंति) तक सूत्र 178-1 के अनुसार समझना चाहिए। इनके उसी प्रकार त्रायस्त्रिशक और लोकपाल देव आदि होते हैं, (जिन पर वे आधिपत्य आदि करते-कराते, पालन करते-कराते हुए यावत् विचरण करते हैं / ) इस प्रकार सर्वत्र 'भवनवासियों के' ऐसा उल्लेख करना चाहिए। [2] चमरे अत्थ असुरकुमारिदे असुरकुमाराया परिवसति काले महानीलसरिसे जाव' पभासेमाणे। से णं तत्य चोत्तीसाए भवणावाससतसहस्साणं चउसट्ठीए सामाणियसाहस्सोणं तावत्तीसाए तायत्तीसाणं चउण्हं लोगपालाणं पंचण्हं अग्गमहिसीणं सपरिवाराणं तिण्हं परिसाणं सत्तहं अणियाणं सत्तण्हं अणियाधिवतीणं चउण्हं य चउसट्ठीणं पायरक्खदेवसाहस्सीणं अण्णेसि च बहूणं दाहिणिल्लाणं देवाणं देवीण य आहेबच्चं पोरेवच्चं जाव' विहरति / [179-2] इन्हीं (पूर्वोक्त स्थानों) में (दाक्षिणात्य) असुरकुमारों का इन्द्र असुरराज चमरेन्द्र निवास करता है, वह कृष्णवर्ण है, महानीलसदृश है, इत्यादि सारा वर्णन यावत् प्रभासित-सुशोभित करता हुआ ('पभासेमाणे') तक सूत्र 178-2 के अनुसार समझना चाहिए। वह (चमरेन्द्र) वहाँ चौंतीस लाख भवनावासों का, चौसठ हजार सामानिकों का, तेतीस प्रायस्त्रिशक देवों का, चार लोकपालों का, पांच सपरिवार अग्रमहिषियों का, तीन परिषदों का, सात सेनाओं का, सात सेनाधिपति देवों का, चार चौसठ हजार अर्थात्-दो लाख छप्पन हजार प्रात्मरक्षक देवों का तथा अन्य बहुत-से दाक्षिणात्य असुरकुमार देवों और देवियों का आधिपत्य एवं अग्रेसरत्व करता हुआ यावत् विचरण करता है। 180.
