प्रथम प्रज्ञापनापद ] [ 105 मन्दराग-मोहानुबन्ध के कारण मर कर देवलोक में जाते हैं। उनका मरण भी जंभाई, खांसी या छींक प्रादि से होता है, किन्तु किसी शरीरपीड़ापूर्वक नहीं। अन्तरद्वीपगों के अन्तरद्वीप कहां और कैसी स्थिति में ?-आगमानुसार छप्पन अन्तरद्वीपगों के अन्तरद्वीप हिमवान् और शिखरी इन दो पर्वतों की लवणसमुद्र में निकली दाढ़ाओं पर स्थित हैं। हिमवान् पर्वत के अट्ठाईस अन्तरद्वीपों का वर्णन-जम्बूद्वीप में भरत और हैमवत क्षेत्रों की सीमा का विभाजन करने वाला हिमवान् नामक पर्वत है। वह भूमि में 25 योजन गहरा और सौ योजन ऊँचा तथा भरत क्षेत्र से दुगुना विस्तृत, हेममय चीनांशुक के-से वर्ण वाला है। उसके दोनों पाव नाना वर्गों से विशिष्ट कान्तिमय मणिसमूह से परिमण्डित हैं। उसका विस्तार ऊपर-नीचे सर्वत्र समान है। वह गगनमण्डल को स्पर्श करने वाले रत्नमय ग्यारह कूटों से सुशोभित है, उसका तल वज्रमय है, तटभाग विविध मणियों और सोने से सुशोभित है / वह दस योजन में अवगाहित-जगह घेरे हुए है। वह पूर्व-पश्चिम में हजार योजन लम्बा और दक्षिण-उत्तर में पांच योजन विस्तीर्ण है। उसके मध्यभाग में पद्मह्रद है तथा चारों ओर कल्पवृक्षों की पंक्ति से अतीव कमनीय है। वह पूर्व और पश्चिम के छोरों (अन्तों) से लवणसमुद्र का स्पर्श करता है। लवणसमुद्र के जल के स्पर्श से लेकर पूर्व-पश्चिम दिशा में दो गजदन्ताकार दाढ़ें निकली हैं। उनमें से ईशानकोण में जो दाढ़ा निकली है, उस प्रदेश में हिमवान् पर्वत से तीन सौ योजन की दूरी पर लवणसमुद्र में 300 योजन लम्बा-चौड़ा तथा कुछ कम 646 योजन की परिधिवाला एकोरुक नामक द्वीप है / जो कि 500 धनुष विस्तृत, दो गाऊ ऊँची पद्मवरवेदिका से चारों ओर से मण्डित है। उसी हिमवान् पर्वत के पर्यन्तभाग से दक्षिण-पूर्वकोण में तीन सौ योजन दूर स्थित लवणसमुद्र का अवगाहन करते ही दूसरी दाढ़ा आती है, जिस पर एकोरुक द्वीप जितना ही लम्बा-चौड़ा 'प्राभासिक' नामक द्वीप है तथा उसी हिमवान् पर्वत के पश्चिम दिशा के छोर (पर्यन्त) से लेकर दक्षिण-पश्चिमदिशा (नैऋत्यकोण) में तीन-सौ योजन लवणसमुद्र का अवगाहन करने के बाद एक दाढ़ आती है, जिस पर उसी प्रमाण का बैषाणिक नामक द्वीप है; एवं उसी हिमवान् पर्वत के पश्चिम दिशा के छोर से लेकर पश्चिमोत्तरदिशा (वायव्यकोण) में तीन-सौ योजन दूर लवणसमुद्र में एक दंष्ट्रा (दाढ़) आती है, जिस पर पूर्वोक्त प्रमाण वाला नांगोलिक द्वीप पाता है। इस प्रकार ये चारों द्वीप हिमवान् पर्वत से चारों विदिशाओं में हैं और समान प्रमाण वाले हैं। तदनन्तर इन्हीं एकोहक आदि चारों द्वीपों के प्रागे यथाक्रम से पूर्वोत्तर आदि प्रत्येक विदिशा में चार-चार सौ योजन आगे चलने के बाद चार-चार सौ योजन लम्बे-चौड़े, कुछ कम 1265 योजन की परिधि वाले, पूर्वोक्त पद्मवरवेदिका एवं वनखण्ड से सुशोभित परिसर वाले तथा जम्बूद्वीप की वेदिका से 400 योजन प्रमाण अन्तर वाले हयकर्ण, गजकर्ण, गोकर्ण और शष्कुलोकर्ण नाम के चार द्वीप हैं / एकोहक द्वीप के आगे हयकर्ण है, प्राभासिक के आगे गजकर्ण, वैषाणिक के आगे गोकर्ण और नांगोलिक के आगे शष्कुलीकर्ण द्वीप है। तत्पश्चात् इन हयकर्ण आदि चार द्वीपों के आगे पांच-पांच सौ योजन की दूरी पर फिर चार द्वीप हैं जो पांच-पांच सौ योजन लम्बे-चौड़े हैं और पहले की तरह ही चारों विदिशाओं में स्थित हैं / इनकी परिधि 1581 योजन की है। इनके बाह्यप्रदेश भी पूर्वोक्त पद्मवरवेदिका तथा वनखण्ड से सुशोभित हैं तथा जम्बूद्वीप को वेदिका से 500 योजन प्रमाण अन्तर वाले हैं। इनके
