तृतीय प्रतिपत्ति : कालोदधिसमुद्रगत चन्द्रद्वीपों का वर्णन] [21 164. हे भगवन् ! धातकीखण्डद्वीप के चन्द्रों के चन्द्रद्वीप कहां हैं। गौतम ! धातकीखण्डद्वीप की पूर्वी वेदिकान्त से कालोदधिसमुद्र में बारह हजार योजन आगे जाने पर धातकीखण्ड के चन्द्रों के चन्द्रद्वीप हैं। (धातकीखण्ड में 12 चन्द्र हैं।) वे सब ओर से जलांत से दो कोस ऊँचे हैं / ये बारह हजार योजन के लम्बे-चौड़े हैं / इनकी परिधि, भूमिभाग, प्रासादावतंसक, मणिपीठिका, सपरिवार सिंहासन, नाम-प्रयोजन, राजधानियां आदि पूर्ववत् जानना चाहिए / वे राजधानियां अपने-अपने द्वीपों से पूर्वदिशा में अन्य धातकीखण्डद्वीप में हैं। शेष सब पूर्ववत् / इसी प्रकार धातकीखण्ड के सूर्यद्वीपों के विषय में भी कहना चाहिए। विशेषता यह है कि धातकीखण्डद्वीप को पश्चिमी वेदिकान्त से कालोदधिसमुद्र में बारह हजार योजन जाने पर ये द्वीप पाते हैं / इन सूर्यों की राजधानियां सूर्यद्वीपों के पश्चिम में असंख्य द्वीपसमुद्रों के बाद अन्य धातकीखण्डद्वीप में हैं, आदि सब वक्तव्यता पूर्ववत् जाननी चाहिए। कालोदधिसमुद्रगत चन्द्रद्वीपों का वर्णन 165. कहि णं भंते ! कालोयगाणं चंदाणं चंददीवा पण्णता ? गोयमा ! कालोयसमुहस्स पुरथिमिल्लाओ वेदियंताओ कालोयसमुई पच्चस्थिमेणं बारस जोयणसहस्साई ओगाहित्ता, एत्थ णं कालोयगचंदाणं चंददीबा पण्णत्ता सम्वनो समंता दो कोसा ऊसिया जलंतानो, सेसं तहेव जाव रायहाणीओ सगाणं दीवाणं पुरच्छिमेणं अण्णमि कालोयगसमुद्दे बारस जोयणसहस्साई तं चेव सव्वं जाव चंदा देवा देवा / एवं सूराणदि / गवरं कालोयगपच्चस्थिमिल्लाओ वेदियंताओ कालोयसमुद्दपुरस्थिमेणं बारस जोयणसहस्साइं ओगाहित्ता तहेव रायहाणीओ सगाणं दीवाणं पञ्चस्थिमेणं अपमि कालोयगसमुद्दे तहेव सव्वं / एवं पुक्खरवरगाणं चंदाणं पुक्खरवरस्स दोबस्स पुरस्थिमिल्लाओ वेदियंताओ पुक्खरसमुई बारस जोयणसहस्साई ओगाहित्ता चंददीवा अण्णम्मि पुक्खररे दीवे रायहाणीओ तहेब / एवं सूराणवि दोवा पुक्खरवरवीवस्स पच्चस्थिमिल्लाओ वेदियंताओ पुक्खरोदं समुदं बारस जोयणसहस्साइं ओगाहित्ता तहेव सवं जाव रायहाणीओ दोविल्लगाणं दोवे समुद्दगाणं समुद्दे चेव एगाणं अभितरपासे एगाणं बाहिरपासे रायहाणीओ दीविल्लगाणं दीवेसु समुद्दगाणं समुद्देसु सरिणामएसु। 165. हे भगवन् ! कालोदधिसमुद्रगत चन्द्रों के चन्द्रद्वीप कहां हैं ? हे गौतम ! कालोदधिसमुद्र के पूर्वीय बेदिकांत से कालोदधिसमुद्र के पश्चिम में बारह हजार योजन आगे जाने पर कालोदधिसमुद्र के चन्द्रों के चन्द्रद्वीप हैं। ये सब ओर से जलांत से दो कोस ऊंचे हैं / शेष सब पूर्ववत् कहना चाहिए यावत् राजधानियां अपने-अपने द्वीप के पूर्व में असंख्य द्वीप-समुद्रों के बाद अन्य कालोदधिसमुद्र में बारह हजार योजन जाने पर आती हैं, आदि सब पूर्ववत् यावत् वहां चन्द्रदेव हैं।
