20 // [ जीवाजीवाभिगमसूत्र गौतम ! जम्बूद्वीप के मेरुपर्वत के पूर्व में लवणसमुद्र में बारह हजार योजन जाने पर प्राभ्यन्तर लावणिक चन्द्रों के चन्द्रद्वीप नामक द्वीप हैं / जैसे जम्बूद्वीप के चन्द्रद्वीपों का वर्णन किया, वैसा इनका भी कथन करना चाहिए / विशेषता यह है कि इनकी राजधानियां अन्य लवणसमुद्र में हैं, शेष पूर्ववत् कहना चाहिए। इसी तरह प्राभ्यन्तर लावणिक सूर्यों के सूर्यद्वीप लवणसमुद्र में बारह हजार योजन जाने पर वहां स्थित हैं, आदि सब वर्णन राजधानी पर्यन्त चन्द्रद्वीपों के समान जानना चाहिए। हे भगवन् ! लवणसमुद्र में रह कर शिखा से बाहर विचरण करने वाले बाह्य लावणिक चन्द्रों के चन्द्रद्वीप कहां हैं ? गौतम ! लवणसमुद्र की पूर्वीय वेदिकान्त से लवणसमुद्र के पश्चिम में बारह हजार योजन जाने पर बाह्य लावणिक चन्द्रों के चन्द्रद्वीप नामक द्वीप हैं, जो धातकीखण्डद्वीपान्त की तरफ साढ़े अठ्यासी योजन और योजन जलांत से ऊपर हैं और लवणसमुद्रान्त की तरफ जलांत से दो कोस ऊँचे हैं। ये बारह हजार योजन के लम्बे-चौड़े, पद्मवरवेदिका, वनखण्ड, बहुसमरमणीय भूमिभाग, मणिपीठिका, सपरिवार सिंहासन, नाम का प्रयोजन, राजधानियां जो अपने-अपने द्वीप के पूर्व में तिर्यक् असंख्यात द्वीप-समुद्रों को पार करने पर अन्य लवणसमुद्र में हैं, आदि सब कथन पूर्ववत जानना चाहिए। हे भगवन् ! बाह्य लावणिक सूर्यों के सूर्यद्वीप नाम के द्वीप कहां हैं ? गौतम ! लवणसमुद्र की पश्चिमी वेदिकान्त से लवणसमुद्र के पूर्व में बारह हजार योजन जाने पर बाह्य लावणिक सूर्यों के सूर्यद्वीप नामक द्वीप हैं, जो धातकीखण्ड द्वीपांत की तरफ साढे अठ्यासी योजन और योजन जलांत से ऊपर हैं और लवणसमुद्र की तरफ जलांत से दो कोस ऊँचे हैं / शेष सब वक्तव्यता राजधानी पर्यन्त पूर्ववत् कहनी चाहिए। ये राजधानियां अपने-अपने द्वीपों से पश्चिम में तिर्यक असंख्यात द्वीप-समुद्र पार करने के बाद अन्य लवण समुद्र में बारह हजार योजन के बाद स्थित हैं, आदि सब कथन करना चाहिए। धातकीखंडद्वीपगत चन्द्रद्वीपों का वर्णन 164. कहि णं भंते ! धायइसंडदीवगाणं चंदाणं चंददीवा पण्णत्ता ? गोयमा ! धायइसंडस्स दीवस्स पुरस्थिमिल्लाओ बेदियंताओ कालोयं णं समुदं बारस जोयणसहस्साई ओगाहित्ता एत्थ णं धायइसंडदीवाणं चंदाणं णामं दीवा पण्णत्ता, सवओ समंता दो कोसा ऊसिया जलंताओ बारस जोयणसहस्साई तहेव विक्खंभ-परिक्खेवो भूमिभागो पासायडिसगा मणिपेढिया सीहासणा सपरिवारा अट्ठो तहेव रायहाणीओ, सकाणं दीवाणं पुरत्थिमेणं अण्णंमि धायइसंडे दीवे सेसं तं चेव / ___ एवं सूरदीवावि / नवरं धायइसंडस्स दीवस्स पच्चथिमिल्लाओ वेदियंतानो कालोयं गं समुदं बारस जोयणसहस्साई तहेव सव्वं जाव रायहाणीओ सूराणं दीवाणं पच्चत्थिमेणं अण्णमि धायइसंडे दीवे सव्वं तहेव /
