तृतीय प्रतिपत्ति: वैजयंत आदि द्वार [423 पर उस द्वीप की दक्षिण दिशा के अन्त में तथा दक्षिण दिशा के लवणसमुद्र से उत्तर में जम्बूद्वीप नामक द्वीप का वैजयन्त द्वार कहा गया है। यह आठ योजन ऊँचा और चार योजन चौड़ा है आदि सब वक्तव्यता वही कहना चाहिए जो विजयद्वार के लिए कही गई है यावत् यह वैजयन्त द्वार नित्य है। __ भगवन् ! वैजयन्त देव की वैजयंती नाम की राजधानी कहाँ है ? गौतम ! वैजयन्त द्वार की दक्षिण दिशा में तिर्यक् असंख्येय द्वीपसमुद्रों को पार करने पर आदि वर्णन विजयद्वार के तुल्य कहना चाहिए यावत् वहाँ वैजयंत नाम का महद्धिक देव है / / हे भगवन ! जम्बूद्वीप का जयन्त नाम का द्वार कहाँ है ? गौतम ! जम्बूद्वीप के मेरुपर्वत के पश्चिम में पैंतालीस हजार योजन आगे जाने पर जम्बूद्वीप की पश्चिम दिशा के अन्त में तथा लवणसमुद्र के पश्चिमा के पूर्व में शीतोदा महानदी के आगे जम्बूद्वीप का जयन्त नाम का द्वार है / वही वक्तव्यता कहनी चाहिए यावत् वहाँ जयन्त नाम का महद्धिक देव है और उसकी राजधानी जयन्त द्वार के पश्चिम में तिर्यक् असंख्य द्वीप-समुद्रों को पार करने पर आदि वर्णन विजयद्वार के समान है। हे भगवन् ! जम्बूद्वीप का अपराजित नाम का द्वार कहाँ कहा गया है ? गौतम ! मेरुपर्वत के उत्तर में पैंतालीस हजार योजन आगे जाने पर जम्बूद्वीप की उत्तर दिशा के अन्त में तथा लवणसमुद्र के उत्तरार्ध के दक्षिण में जम्बूद्वीप का अपराजित नाम का द्वार है। उसका प्रमाण विजयद्वार के समान है / उसको राजधानी अपराजित द्वार के उत्तर में तिर्यक् असंख्यात द्वीप-समुद्रों को लांघने के बाद आदि वर्णन विजया राजधानी के समान है यावत् वहाँ अपराजित नाम का महद्धिक देव है। ये चारों राजधानियां इस प्रसिद्ध जम्बूद्वीप में न होकर दूसरे जम्बूद्वीप में हैं। 145. जंबुद्दीवस्स णं भंते ! दीवस्स दारस्स य दारस्स य एस णं केवइए अबाहाए अंतरे पण्णते? गोयमा ! प्रउणासिई जोयणसहस्साई बावण्णं च जोयणाई देसूणं च अद्धजोयणं दारस्स य बारस्स य अबाहाए अंतरे पण्णत्ते। [145] हे भगवन् ! जम्बूद्वीप के इन द्वारों में एक द्वार से दूसरे द्वार का अन्तर कितना कहा गया है ? गौतम ! उन्यासी हजार बावन योजन और देशोन प्राधा योजन का अन्तर कहा गया है। [79052 योजन और देशोन प्राधा योजन] / विवेचन--एक द्वार से दूसरे द्वार का अन्तर उन्यासी हजार बावन योजन और देशोन प्राधा योजन बताया है, उसका स्पष्टीकरण इस प्रकार किया गया है प्रत्येक द्वार की शाखारूप कुड्य [भीत एक एक कोस की मोटी है और प्रत्येक द्वार का विस्तार चार-चार योजन का है। इस तरह चारों द्वारों में कूड़य और द्वारप्रमाण 15 योजन का होता है। जम्बूद्वीप की परिधि तीन लाख सोलह हजार दो सौ सत्तावीस [316227] योजन तीन कोस एक सौ पाठ धनुष और साढे तेरह अंगुल से कुछ अधिक है / इसमें से चारों द्वारों और शाखाद्वारों का 18
