330] [जीवाजीवाभिगमसूत्र प्रसूरराज चमर की प्राभ्यन्तर परिषद के देवों की स्थिति कितनी कही गई है ? मध्यम परिषद् के देवों की स्थिति कितनी है और बाह्य परिषद् के देवों की स्थिति कितनी है ? प्राभ्यन्तर परिषद् की देवियों की, मध्यम परिषद् की देवियों की और बाह्य परिषद् की देवियों की स्थिति कितनी कही गई है ? गौतम ! असुरेन्द्र असुरराज चमर की आभ्यन्तर परिषदा के देवों की स्थिति ढ़ाई पल्योपम, मध्यम पर्षदा के देवों की दो पल्योपम और बाह्य परिषदा के देवों की डेढ़ पल्योपम की स्थिति है। प्राभ्यन्तर पर्षदा की देवियों की डेढ पल्योपम, मध्यम परिषदा की देवियों की एक पल्योपम की और बाह्य परिषद् की देवियों की स्थिति प्राधे पल्योपम की है / हे भगवन ! ऐसा किस कारण से कहा जाता है कि असुरेन्द्र असुरराज चमर की तीन पर्षदा हैं—समिता, चंडा और जाता / आभ्यन्तर पर्षदा समिता कहलाती है, मध्यम पर्षदा चंडा कहलाती है और बाह्य परिषद् जाता कहलाती है ? गौतम ! असुरेन्द्र असुरराज चमर की प्राभ्यन्तर परिषदा के देव बुलाये जाने पर पाते हैं, बिना बुलाये नहीं पाते / मध्यम परिषद् के देव बुलाने पर भी आते हैं और बिना बुलाये भी आते हैं। बाह्य परिषदा के देव बिना बुलाये पाते हैं / गौतम ! दूसरा कारण यह है कि असुरेन्द्र असुरराज चमर किसी प्रकार के ऊँचे-नीचे, शोभन-अशोभन कौटुम्बिक कार्य प्रा पड़ने पर प्राभ्यन्तर परिषद् के साथ विचारणा करता है, उनकी सम्मति लेता है। मध्यम परिषदा को अपने निश्चित किये कार्य की सुचना देकर उन्हें स्पष्टता के साथ कारणादि समझाता है और बाह्य परिषदा को प्राज्ञा देता हुआ विचरता है। इस कारण हे गौतम ! ऐसा कहा जाता है कि असुरेन्द्र असुरराज चमर की तीन परिषदाएँ हैंसमिता, चंडा और जाता। आभ्यन्तर पर्षद् समिता कहलाती है, मध्यम परिषद् चंडा कही जाती है और बाह्य परिषद् को जाता कहते है।' [119.] कहिं गं भंते ! उत्तरिल्लाणं असुरकुमाराणं भवणा पण्णता ? जहा ठाणपदे जाव बली एत्थ बहरोयणिवे बहरोयणराया परिवसह जाव विहरह।। बलिस्स गं भंते ! वयरोणिस्स बहरोयणरन्नो कह परिसाओ पण्णत्ताओ? गोयमा ! तिणि परिसाओ, तं जहा–समिया चंडा जाया। अग्भितरिया समिया, मज्ममिया चंडा बाहिरिया जाया। बलिस्स णं वहरोयणिवस्स वइरोयणरन्नो अम्भितरपारिसाए कति देवसहस्सा? मज्झिमियाए परिसाए कति देवसहस्सा जाव बाहिरियाए परिसाए कति देविसया पण्णत्ता ? गोयमा ! बलिस्स णं वहरोयणिदस्स वइरोयणरन्नो अस्मितरियाए परिसाए वीसं देवसहस्सा 1. परिषद की संख्या और स्थिति बताने वाली दो संग्रहणी गाथाएँ--- चउवीस अट्टवीसा बत्तीस सहस्स देव चमरस्स, प्रद्धट्ठा तिन्नि तहा अड्ढाइज्जा य देविसया / प्रडवाइज्जा य दोषिय दिवडढपलियं कमेण देवठिई, पलियं दिवड्ढमेगं प्रद्धो देवीण परिसासु //
