320] [जोवानीवाभिगमसूत्र गौतम ! लांगूलिक द्वीप के उत्तर-पश्चिमी (वायव्यकोण के) चरमान्त से लवणसमुद्र में चार सो योजन जाने पर शकुलिकर्ण नामक द्वीप है / शेष वर्णन हयकर्ण मनुष्यों की तरह जानना चाहिए। हे भगवन् ! आदर्शमुख मनुष्यों की पृच्छा ? गौतम ! हयकर्णद्वीप के उत्तरपूर्वी चरमांत से पांच सौ योजन प्रागे जाने पर वहाँ दाक्षिणात्य प्रादर्शमुख मनुष्यों का आदर्शमुख नामक द्वीप है, वह पांच सौ योजन का लम्बा-चौड़ा है। अश्वमुख प्रादि चार द्वीप छह सौ योजन आगे जाने पर, अश्वकर्ण प्रादि चार द्वीप सात सौ योजन प्रागे जाने पर, उल्कामुख आदि चार द्वीप पाठ सो योजन प्रागे जाने पर और घनदंत प्रादि चार द्वीप नौ सौ योजन आगे जाने पर वहां स्थित हैं। एकोरुक द्वीप आदि की परिधि नौ सौ उनपचास योजन से कुछ अधिक, हयकर्ण प्रादि की परिधि बारह सौ पेंसठ योजन से कुछ अधिक जाननी चाहिए // 1 // __ आदर्शमुख प्रादि की परिधि पन्द्रह सौ इक्यासी योजन से कुछ अधिक है। इस प्रकार इस क्रम से चार-चार द्वीप एक समान प्रमाण वाले हैं / अवगाहन, विष्कंभ और परिधि में अन्तर समझना चाहिए। प्रथम-द्वितीय-तृतीय-चतुष्क का अवगाहन, विष्कंभ और परिधि का कथन कर दिया गया है / चौथे चतुष्क में छह सौ योजन का प्रायाम-विष्कंभ और 1897 योजन से कुछ अधिक परिधि है / पंचम चतुष्क में सात सौ योजन का पायाम-विष्कंभ और 2213 योजन से कुछ अधिक की परिधि है। छठे चतुष्क में आठ सौ योजन का आयाम-विष्कंभ और 2529 योजन से कुछ अधिक की परिधि है / सातवें चतुष्क में नौ सो योजन का प्रायाम-विष्कंभ और 2845 योजन से कुछ विशेष की परिधि है / जिसका जो आयाम-विष्कंभ है वही उसका अवगाहन है / (प्रथम चतुष्क से द्वितीय चतुष्क की परिधि 316 योजन अधिक, इसी क्रम से 316-316 योजन की परिधि बढ़ाना चाहिए। विशेषाधिक पद सबके साथ कहना चाहिए)।। 2 / / आयुष्मन् श्रमण ! शेष वर्णन एकोरुकद्वीप की तरह शुद्धदंतद्वीप पर्यन्त समझ लेना चाहिए यावत् वे मनुष्य देवलोक में उत्पन्न होते हैं / हे भगवन् ! उत्तरदिशा के एकोरुक मनुष्यों का एकोरुक नामक द्वीप कहाँ कहा गया है ? गौतम ! जम्बूद्वीप द्वीप के मेरुपर्वत के उत्तर में शिखरी वर्षधरपर्वत के उत्तरपूर्वी चरमान्त से लवणसमुद्र में तीन सौ योजन आगे जाने पर वहाँ उत्तरदिशा के एकोरुक द्वीप के मनुष्यों का एकोरुक नामक द्वीप है-इत्यादि सब वर्णन दक्षिणदिशा के एकोरुक द्वीप की तरह जानना चाहिए, अन्तर यह है कि यहाँ शिखरी वर्षधरपर्वत की विदिशाओं में ये स्थित हैं, ऐसा कहना चाहिए / इस प्रकार शुद्धदंतद्वीप पर्यन्त कथन करना चाहिए। यह अन्तरद्वीपक मनुष्यों का वर्णन पूरा हुआ। विवेचन-एकोरुक, प्राभाषिक, लांगुलिक और वैषाणिक इन चार अन्तर्वीपों का वर्णन इसके पूर्ववर्ती सूत्र के विवेचन में किया है। इन्हीं एकोहक प्रादि चारों द्वीपों के आगे यथाक्रम से पूर्वोत्तर आदि प्रत्येक विदिशा में चार-चार सौ योजन आगे चलने पर चार-चार सौ योजन लम्बेचौड़े और कुछ अधिक 1265 योजन की परिधि वाले पूर्वोक्त पद्मवरवेदिका और वनखण्ड से सुशोभित तथा जम्बूद्वीप को वेदिका से 400 योजन प्रमाण दूर हयकर्ण, गजकर्ण, गोकर्ण और
