तृतीय प्रतिपत्ति: एकोक मनुष्यों की स्थिति आदि) के, बिना किसी परिताप के (पल्योपम का असंख्यातवां भाग आयुष्य भोगकर) सुखपूर्वक मृत्यु के अवसर पर मरकर किसी भी देवलोक में देव के रूप में उत्पन्न होते हैं। हे आयुष्मन् श्रमण ! वे मनुष्य मरकर देवलोक में ही जाते हैं / 111. (18) कहिं णं भंते ! दाहिणिल्लाणं आभासियमणुस्साणं प्राभासियदीदे णामं बोवे पणते? गोयमा ! जंबद्दीवे दीवे मंदरस्स पब्वयस्स दाहिणणं चुल्ल हिमवंतस्स वासहरपव्वयस्स दाहिणपुरच्छिमिल्लाओ चरिमंताओ लवणसमुई तिनि नोयणसयाई ओगाहित्ता एत्य गं आभासियमणस्साणं आभासियदीवे णामं दोवे पण्णत्ते, सेसं जहा एगोल्याणं णिरवसेसं सम्वं / कहि णं भंते / बाहिणिल्लाणं गंगोलिमणुस्साणं पुच्छा ? गोयमा ! जंबुद्दीवे वीवे मंदरस्स पब्वयस्स दाहिणेणं चुल्लहिमवंतस्स वासहरपग्मयस्स उत्तरपुरच्छिमिल्लामो परिमंताओ लवणसमुई तिणि जोयणसयाई प्रोगाहित्ता सेसं जहा एगोरुयमणुस्साणं / कहिं गं भंते ! वाहिणिल्लाणं वेसानियमगुस्साणं पुच्छा। गोयमा ! जंबुद्दीवे दीवे मंदरस्स पस्चयस्स वाहिणणं चुल्लहिमवंतस्स वासवरपव्ययस्स वाहिणपच्चथिमिल्लाओ चरिमंताओ लवणसमुई तिणि जोयणसयाई प्रोगाहित्ता सेसं जहा एगोल्याणं। [111] (18) हे भगवन् ! दक्षिण दिशा के प्राभाषिक मनुष्यों का आभाषिक नाम का द्वीप कहाँ है ? गौतम ! जम्बूद्वीप नामक द्वीप के मेरुपर्वत के दक्षिण में चुल्ल हिमवान् वर्षधरपर्वत के दक्षिण-पूर्व (अग्निकोण) चरमांत से लवणसमुद्र में तीन सी योजन जाने पर वहाँ प्राभाषिक मनुष्यों का आभाषिक नामक द्वीप है / शेष समस्त वक्तव्यता एकोरुक द्वीप की तरह कहनी चाहिए। हे भगवन् ! दाक्षिणात्य लांगूलिक मनुष्यों का नंगोलिक द्वीप कहाँ है ? गौतम ! जम्बद्वीप नामक द्वीप के मेरुपर्वत के दक्षिण में और चल्लहिमवन्त वर्षधर पर्वत के उत्तर पूर्व (ईशानकोण) चरमांत से लवणसमुद्र में तीन सौ योजन जाने पर वहाँ लांगूलिक मनुष्यों का लांगलिक द्वीप है। शेष वक्तव्यता एकोरुक द्वीपवत् / हे भगवन् ! दाक्षिणात्य वैषाणिक मनुष्यों का वैषाणिक द्वीप कहाँ है ? हे गौतम! जम्बूद्वीप के मेरुपर्वत के दक्षिण में और चल्लहिमवन्त वर्षधर पर्वत के दक्षिणपश्चिम (नैऋत्यकोण) के चरमांत से तीन सौ योजन जाने पर वहां वैधाणिक मनुष्यों का वैषाणिक नामक द्वीप है। शेष वक्तव्यता एकोषकद्वीप की तरह जानना चाहिए। विवेचन–अन्तरद्वीप हिमवान और शिखरी इन दो पर्वतों की लवणसमुद्र में निकली दाढाओं पर स्थित हैं / हिमवान पर्वत की दाढा पर अट्ठाईस अन्तरद्वीप हैं और शिखरीपर्वत की दाढा पर
