तृतीय प्रतिपत्ति : एकोक द्वीप के पुरुषों का वर्णन] [313 हे भगवन् ! एकोरुक द्वीप में दास, प्रेष्य (नौकर), शिष्य, वेतनभोगी भृत्य, भागीदार, कर्मचारी हैं क्या ? हे आयुष्मन् श्रमण ! ये सब वहां नहीं हैं / वहाँ नौकर कर्मचारी नहीं हैं। हे भगवन् ! एकोरुक द्वीप में माता, पिता, भाई, बहिन, भार्या, पुत्र, पुत्री और पुत्रक्कू हैं क्या? हां गौतम ! हैं परन्तु उनका माता-पितादि में तीव्र प्रेमबन्धन नहीं होता है। वे मनुष्य अल्परागबन्धन वाले हैं। - हे भगवन् ! एकोरुक द्वीप में अरि, वैरी, घातक, वधक, प्रत्यनीक (विरोधी), प्रत्यमित्र (पहले मित्र रहकर अमित्र हुअा व्यक्ति या दुश्मन का सहायक) हैं क्या ? हे आयुष्मन् श्रमण ! ये सब वहां नहीं हैं / वे मनुष्य वैरभाव से रहित होते हैं। हे भगवन् ! एकोहक द्वीप में मित्र, वयस्य, प्रेमी, सखा, सुहृद, महाभाग और सांगतिक (साथी) हैं क्या? हे आयुष्मन् श्रमण ! नहीं हैं / वे मनुष्य प्रेमानुबन्ध रहित हैं। हे भगवन् ! एकोरुक द्वीप में आबाह (सगाई), विवाह (परिणय), यज्ञ, श्राद्ध, स्थालीपाक (वर-वधू भोज), चोलोपनयन (शिखाधारण संस्कार), सीमन्तोन्नयन (बाल उतारने का संस्कार), पितरों को पिण्डदान प्रादि संस्कार हैं क्या ? हे आयुष्मन् श्रमण ! ये संस्कार वहां नहीं हैं। वे मनुष्य प्राबाह-विवाह, यज्ञ-श्राद्ध, भोज, चोलोपनयन सीमन्तोन्नयन पितृ-पिण्डदान प्रादि व्यवहार से रहित हैं। हे भगवन् ! एकोरुक द्वीप में इन्द्रमहोत्सव, स्कंद (कार्तिकेय) महोत्सव, रुद्र (यक्षाधिपति) महोत्सव, शिवमहोत्सव, वेश्रमण (कुबेर) महोत्सव, मुकुन्द (कृष्ण) महोत्सव, नाग, यक्ष, भूत, कूप, तालाब, नदी, द्रह (कुण्ड) पर्वत, वृक्षारोपण, चैत्य और स्तूप महोत्सव होते हैं क्या ? हे आयुष्मन् श्रमण ! वहाँ ये महोत्सव नहीं होते। वे मनुष्य महोत्सव की महिमा से रहित होते हैं। हे भगवन् ! एकोरुक द्वीप में नटों का खेल होता है, नृत्यों का प्रायोजन होता है, डोरी पर खेलने वालों का खेल होता है, कुश्तियाँ होती हैं, मुष्टिप्रहारादि का प्रदर्शन होता है, विदूषकों, कथाकारों, उछलकूद करने वालों, शुभाशुभ फल कहने वालों, रास गाने वालों, बांस पर चढ़कर नाचने वालों, चित्रफलक हाथ में लेकर मांगने वालों, तूणा (वाद्य) बजाने वालों, वीणावादकों, कावड लेकर घूमने वालों, स्तुतिपाठकों का मेला लगता है क्या ? हे आयुष्मन् श्रमण ! यह अर्थ समर्थ नहीं है / वे मनुष्य कौतूहल से रहित होते हैं / हे भगवन ! एकोरुक द्वीप में गाड़ी, रथ, यान (वाहन) युग्य (गोल्लदेशप्रसिद्ध) चतुष्कोण वेदिका वाली और दो पुरुषों द्वारा उठाई जाने वाली पालकी) गिल्लो, थिल्ली, पिपिल्ली (लाटदेश
