312] [जीवाजीवाभिगमसूत्र उद्दवाहाइ वा पवाहाइ वा दगुम्मेयाइ वा दगुप्पोलाइ वा गामवाहाइ वा नाव सनिवेसवाहाइ वा पाणक्खय० जाव वसणभूयमणारियाई वा ? णो तिठे समझें। ववगयदगोवद्दवा गं ते मणुयगणा पण्णता समणाउसो ! अस्थि णं भंते ! एगोरुय दोवे दीवे अयागराइ वा तंबागराइ वा सोसागराइ वा सुवण्णागराइ वा रयणागराइ वा वइरागराइ वा वसुहाराइ वा हिरण्णवासाइ वा सुवण्णवासाइ वा रयणचासाइ वा वइरवासाइ वा आभरणवासाइ वा पत्तवासाइ वा पुष्फवासाइ वा फलवासाइ वा बीयवासाइ वा मल्लवासाइ वा गंधवासाइ वा वण्णवासाइ वा चुण्णवासाइ वा खीरखुट्टीड वा रयणवट्ठीइ वा हिरणवुट्ठीइ या सुवण्णबुट्ठीइ वा तहेव जाव चुण्णवुट्ठीइ वा सुकालाइ वा दुकालाइ वा सुभिक्खाइ वा दुम्भिक्खाइ वा अप्पग्बाइ वा महग्याइ वा कयाइ वा महाविक्कयाइ वा, सम्णिहीइ वा संचयाइ वा निधीइ वा निहाणाइ वा, चिरपोराणाइ वा पहीणसामियाइ वा पहीणसेउयाइ वा पहीणगोत्तागाराई वा जाइं इमाई गामागरणगरखेडकम्बडमसंबवोणमुहपट्टणासम. संवाहसन्निवेसेसु सन्निक्खित्ताई चिट्ठति ? नो तिणठे समझें। [111] (16) हे भगवन् ! एकोरुक द्वीप में घर और मार्ग हैं क्या ? हे गौतम ! यह अर्थ समर्थित नहीं है। हे आयुष्मन् श्रमण ! वे मनुष्य गृहाकार बने हुए वृक्षों पर रहते हैं। भगवन् ! एकोरुक द्वीप में ग्राम, नगर यावत् सन्निवेश हैं ? हे आयुष्मन् श्रमण ! वहाँ ग्राम आदि नहीं हैं / वे मनुष्य इच्छानुसार गमन करने वाले हैं। भगवन् ! एकोहक द्वीप में असि-शस्त्र, मषि (लेखनादि) कृषि, पण्य (किराना आदि) और वाणिज्य-व्यापार है ? आयुष्मन् श्रमण ! ये वहां नहीं हैं। वे मनुष्य असि, मषि, कृषि-पण्य और वाणिज्य से रहित हैं। भगवन् ! एकोषक द्वीप में हिरण्य (चांदी), स्वर्ण, कांसी, वस्त्र, मणि, मोती तथा विपुल धनसोना रत्न मणि, मोती शंख, शिला प्रवाल आदि प्रधान द्रव्य हैं ? हाँ गौतम ! हैं परन्तु उन मनुष्यों को उनमें तीव्र ममत्वभाव नहीं होता है / भगवन् ! एकोरुक द्वीप में राजा, युवराज, ईश्वर (भोगिक) तलवर (राजा द्वारा दिये गये स्वर्णपद्र को धारण करने वाला अधिकारी), मांडविक (उजडी वसति का स्वामी), कोम्बिक, इभ्य (धनिक), सेठ, सेनापति, सार्थवाह (अनेक व्यापारियों के साथ देशान्तर में व्यापार करने वाला प्रमुख व्यापारी) आदि हैं क्या? आयुष्मन् श्रमण ! ये सब वहाँ नहीं हैं / वे मनुष्य ऋद्धि और सत्कार के व्यवहार से रहित हैं अर्थात् वहाँ सब बराबर हैं, विषमता नहीं है /
