द्वितीय प्रतिपत्ति : कालस्थिति] [147 [52] पुरुष क्या हैं-कितने प्रकार के हैं ? पुरुष तीन प्रकार के हैं—यथा तिर्यक्योनिक पुरुष, मनुष्य पुरुष और देव पुरुष / तिर्यकयोनिक पुरुष कितने प्रकार के हैं ? तिर्यक्योनिक पुरुष तीन प्रकार के कहे गये हैं, यथा--जलचर, स्थलचर और खेचर / इस प्रकार जैसे स्त्री अधिकार में भेद कहे गये हैं, वैसे यावत् खेचर पर्यन्त कहना / यह खेचर का और उसके साथ ही खेचर तिर्यक्योनिक पुरुषों का वर्णन हुमा / भगवन् ! मनुष्य पुरुष कितने प्रकार के हैं ? गौतम ! मनुष्य पुरुष तीन प्रकार के हैं-कर्मभूमिक, अकर्मभूमिक और अन्तर्वीपिक। यह मनुष्यों के भेद हुए। देव पुरुष कितने प्रकार के हैं ? देव पुरुष चार प्रकार के हैं। इस प्रकार पूर्वोक्त स्त्री अधिकार में कहे गये भेद कहते जाने चाहिए यावत् सर्वार्थसिद्ध तक देव भेदों का कथन करना। विवेचन--पुरुष के भेदों में पूर्वोक्त स्त्री अधिकार में कहे गये भेद कहने चाहिए। विशेषता केवल देव पुरुषों में हैं। देव पुरुष चार प्रकार के हैं-भवनपति, वानव्यन्तर, ज्योतिष्क और वैमानिक / भवनपति के असुरकुमार आदि 10 भेद हैं। वानव्यन्तर के पिशाच आदि पाठ भेद हैं, ज्योतिष्क के चन्द्रादि पांच भेद हैं और वैमानिक देव दो प्रकार के हैं--कलोपपन्न और कल्पातीत / सौधर्म आदि बारह देवलोक कल्पोपपन्न हैं और ग्रैवेयक तथा अनुत्तरोषपातिक देव कल्पातीत हैं / अनुत्तरोपपातिक के पांच भेद हैं-विजय, वैजयन्त, जयन्त, अपराजित और सर्वार्थसिद्ध / अत: 'जाव सम्वट्ठसिद्धा' कहा गया है / कालस्थिति 53. पुरिसस्स णं भंते ! केवइयं कालठिई पण्णता? गोयमा ! जहन्नेणं अंतोमुहत्तं उक्कोसेणं तेत्तोसं सागरोमाई। तिरिक्खजोणियपुरिसाणं मणुस्सपुरिसाणं जाव चेव इत्थीणं ठिई सा चेव भाणियन्वा / देवपुरिसाण वि जाव सम्वट्ठसिद्धाणं ठिई जहा पण्णवणाए (ठिइपए) तहा भाणियव्वा / [53] हे भगवन् ! पुरुष की कितने काल की स्थिति कही गई है ? गौतम ! जघन्य से अन्तर्मुहुर्त और उत्कर्ष से तेतीस सागरोपम / तियंचयोनिक पुरुषों की और मनुष्य पुरुषों को वही स्थिति जाननी चाहिए जो तिर्यंच. योनिक स्त्रियों और मनुष्य स्त्रियों की कही गई है। देवयोनिक पुरुषों की यावत् सर्वार्थसिद्ध विमान के देव पुरुषों की स्थिति वही जाननी चाहिए जो प्रज्ञापना के स्थितिपद में कही गई है। विवेचन–अपने अपने भव को छोड़े बिना पुरुषों की कितने काल तक की स्थिति है, ऐसा प्रश्न किये जाने पर भगवान ने कहा कि जघन्य से अन्तर्मुहूर्त और उत्कर्ष से तेतीस सागरोपम की स्थिति है। अन्तर्मुहूर्त में मरण हो जाने की अपेक्षा अन्तर्मुहुर्त की जघन्य स्थिति कही है और अनुत्तरोपपातिक देवों की अपेक्षा तेतीस सागरोपम की उत्कृष्ट स्थिति कही गई है।
