६. विनयरहित पढ़ा हो ।
७. योगहीन (मन की एकाग्रता से रहित) पढ़ा हो। अथवा जिस शास्त्र के अध्ययन के लिये जो तपश्चरण विहित है, उसे न करके पढ़ा 1 अथवा पात्र-अपात्र का विवेक किये बिना पढ़ाया हो ।
आयंबिल आदि करने रूप योगोद्वहन
८. उदात्त आदि स्वरों से रहित पढ़ा हो।
९. 'सुट्ठदिण्णं' - शिष्य में शास्त्र ग्रहण करने की जितनी शक्ति हो उससे अधिक पढ़ाया हो ।
१०. आगम को दुष्ट भाव से ग्रहण किया हो ।
११. जिन सूत्रों के पठन का जो काल शास्त्र में कहा है, उससे भिन्न दूसरे काल में उन सूत्रों का स्वाध्याय किया हो ।

१४. स्वाध्याय काल में स्वाध्याय न किया हो, उससे उत्पन्न हुआ मेरा सर्व पाप निष्फल हो ।
विवेचन – जो ज्ञान तीर्थंकर भगवान् के द्वारा उपदिष्ट होने के कारण शंका रहित एवं अलौकिक है तथा भव्य जीवों को चकित कर देने वाला है अथवा जो ज्ञान अर्हन्त भगवान् के मुख से निकल कर गणधर देव को प्राप्त हुआ तथा भव्य जीवों ने सम्यक् भाव से जिसको माना उसे 'आगम' कहते हैं ।
मूल पाठ रूप, अर्थ रूप एवं मूल पाठ और अर्थ - उभय रूप, इस तरह तीन प्रकार के आगम ज्ञान के विषय में जो कोई अतिचार लगा हो उसकी मैं आलोचना करता हूँ । यदि सूत्र क्रमपूर्वक न पढ़ा गया हो, यथा 'नमो अरिहंताणं' की जगह 'अरिहंताणं नमो' ऐसा पढ़ा हो। अक्षरहीन पढ़ा हो, जैसे 'अनल' शब्द का अकार कम कर दिया जाये तो 'नल' बन जाता है तथा 'कमल' शब्द के 'क' को कम कर देने से 'मल' बन जाता है इत्यादि, इस विषय में विद्याधर और अभयकुमार का दृष्टान्त प्रसिद्ध है

उड़ते-गिरते किसी विद्याधर के विमान को देख कर अपने पुत्र अभयकुमार के साथ राजा श्रेणिक ने भगवान् से पूछा भन्ते ! यह विमान इस प्रकार उड़ उड़ कर क्यों गिर रहा है? तब भगवान् ने फरमायायह विद्याधर अपनी विद्या का एक अक्षर भूल गया है, जिससे यह विमान बिना पाँख के पक्षी की तरह बारबार गिरता है ।
ऐसा सुन कर राजा श्रेणिक के पुत्र अभयकुमार ने अपनी पदानुसारिणी- लब्धि द्वारा उसके विमान चारण

The knowledge that is free from doubt and supernatural, being taught by the Tirthankara Bhagwan, and which astounds the *bhavya* beings, or the knowledge that emanated from the mouth of the Arhant Bhagwan and was received by the *Ganadhar* Dev, and which the *bhavya* beings accepted with a right mind, is called *Aagam*.

Seeing a *Vidhyadhar* flying and falling, King Shrenik asked the Bhagwan along with his son *Abhaykumar*, "Bhanta! Why is this *Vidhyadhar* flying and falling like this?" Then the Bhagwan said, "This *Vidhyadhar* has forgotten one letter of his knowledge, due to which his aircraft falls repeatedly like a bird without wings."

Hearing this, *Abhaykumar*, the son of King Shrenik, by his *Padanusaarini* attainment, saw the *charan* of his aircraft...
