केवलि - पण्णत्तो धम्मो मंगलं ।
भावार्थ - संसार में चार मंगल हैं।
(१) अरिहंत भगवान् मंगल हैं।
(२) सिद्ध भगवान् मंगल हैं ।
(३) साधु - महाराज मंगल हैं।
(४) सर्वज्ञप्ररूपित धर्म मंगल है।
लौकिक मंगल और लोकोत्तर मंगल। दधि, अक्षत, पुष्पमाला
--
विवेचन मंगल दो प्रकार के हैं। आदि लौकिक मंगल माने गये हैं। सूत्रोक्त अरिहंत आदि लोकोत्तर मंगल हैं। लौकिक मंगल एकान्त और आत्यन्तिक मंगल नहीं होते। अतः अध्यात्मनिष्ठ आत्मार्थी महापुरुषों ने लौकिक मंगल से पृथक् अलौकिक मंगल की शोध की है। अलौकिक मंगल कभी अमंगल नहीं होता है । सांसारिक उलझनों से भरे लौकिक मंगल से आज दिन तक न तो किसी ने स्थायी शांति प्राप्त की है और न भविष्य में ही कोई कर पायेगा। स्थायी आनन्द जब तक न मिले, तब तक वह मंगल कैसा ? अतः अलौकिक मंगल ही वास्तविक मंगल है।

[ आवश्यकसूत्र
प्रस्तुत चार मंगलों में प्रथम दो मंगल आदर्श रूप हैं। हमारे जीवन का अंतिम लक्ष्य क्रमशः अरिहंत और अंत में सिद्ध पद की प्राप्ति करना ही है। अरिहंत और सिद्ध पूर्ण आत्मविशुद्धि अर्थात् सिद्धता के आदर्श आदर्श मंगल हैं, जबकि साधु साधकता के आदर्श मंगल हैं। साधु पद में आचार्य और उपाध्याय भी समाहित हो जाते हैं ।
सबसे अंत में धर्म- मंगल आता है। इसी के प्रभाव से या धर्म के फलस्वरूप ही पूर्ववर्ती अन्य पदों की प्रतिष्ठा है। धर्म की शक्ति सर्वोपरि है ।
उत्तमचतुष्टय
चत्तारि लोगुत्तमा
अरिहंता लोगुत्तमा,
सिद्धा लोगुत्तमा,
साहू लोगुत्तमा,
केवलि - पण्णत्तो धम्मो लोगुत्तमा ।
भावार्थ - संसार में चार उत्तम अर्थात् सर्वश्रेष्ठ हैं
(१) अरिहंत भगवान् लोक में उत्तम हैं।

**Meaning:** There are four auspicious things in the world.

Therefore, the great souls who are devoted to spirituality and self-realization have sought out transcendental auspiciousness, separate from worldly auspiciousness. Transcendental auspiciousness is never inauspicious. Worldly auspiciousness, filled with worldly entanglements, has never brought lasting peace to anyone, nor will it ever. What kind of auspiciousness is it if it does not bring lasting joy? Therefore, transcendental auspiciousness is the true auspiciousness.

**[Essential Sutra]**
In the four auspicious things presented here, the first two are ideal forms. The ultimate goal of our life is to attain the Arihant and finally the Siddha state. Arihant and Siddha are the ideal forms of perfect self-purification, i.e., enlightenment, and are auspicious, while Sadhu is the ideal form of spiritual practice. The Sadhu state includes Acharya and Upadhyaya.

Finally, Dharma-mangal comes. The establishment of the previous states is due to its influence or the fruit of Dharma. The power of Dharma is supreme.

**Cattari logutama**
**Arihanta logutama,**

**Kevali-pannatto dhammo logutama.**
