बारहवां उद्देशक]
[२५५ भाष्यकाल की पुस्तकों की अपेक्षा वर्तमान युग की पुस्तकों में झुषिर अवस्था भी अत्यल्प होती है । इस कारण से भी इनमें दोष की सम्भावना अल्प है।
ज्ञानभंडारों में उचित विवेक किए बिना रखी जाने वाली अप्रतिलेखित पुस्तकों में अनेक प्रकार के जीव उत्पन्न हो जाते हैं, उन पुस्तकों का उपयोग करने में जीवविराधना की अत्यधिक सम्भावना रहती है, अतः उसका यथोचित विवेक रखना चाहिये।
वस्त्राच्छादित पीढे पर बैठने का प्रायश्चित्त
६-जे भिक्खू १. तणपीढगं वा, २. पलालपीढगं वा, ३. छगणपीढगं वा, ४. वेत्तपीढगं वा, ५. कट्ठपीढगं वा परवत्थेणोच्छण्णं अहिछेइ, अहिद्रुतं वा साइज्जइ।
६-जो भिक्षु गृहस्थ के वस्त्र से ढंके हुए, १. घास के पीढ़े [चौकी आदि] पर, २. पराल के पीढ़े पर, ३. गोबर के पीढ़े पर, ४. बेंत के पीढ़े पर, ५. काष्ठ के पीढ़े पर बैठता है या बैठने वाले का अनुमोदन करता है। [उसे लघुचौमासी प्रायश्चित्त आता है।]
विवेचन--"अहिछे।" क्रिया पद से बैठना, सोना, खड़े रहना आदि सभी क्रियाएं समझ लेनी चाहिये सूत्रोक्त पोढ़े [बाजोट आदि] प्रायः बैठने के उपयोग में आते हैं ।
सूत्र में तृण आदि से निर्मित पीढों का कथन है। ये पीढ़े भिक्षु ग्रहण करके उपयोग में ले सकता है। किन्तु इन पर गृहस्थ के वस्त्र बिछाये हुए हों तो बैठने पर लघुचौमासी प्रायश्चित्त प्राता है।
यदि झुषिर दोष युक्त हों तो ये अग्राह्य होते हैं और इनके ग्रहण करने पर पांचवें सूत्र में कहे दोष समझ लेने चाहिए।
__ झुषिर संबंधी दोष न हो तो तृण, बेंत अादि से निर्मित अन्य औपग्रहिक उपकरण भी ग्राह्य हो सकते हैं।
भिक्षु को पीढ-फलग-शय्या-संस्तारक ग्रहण करना तो कल्पता है किन्तु गृहस्थ का वस्त्र साधु को उपयोग में लेना नहीं कल्पता है । अतः वस्त्र युक्त पीढादि अकल्पनीय हैं। क्योंकि वस्त्र युक्त पीढे में अप्रतिलेखना या दुष्प्रतिलेखनाजन्य दोष होते हैं तथा जीवविराधना भी संभव रहती है। अतः वस्त्र युक्त पीढे के उपयोग करने का प्रस्तुत सूत्र में प्रायश्चित्त कहा गया है।
निग्रंथी की शाटिका सिलवाने का प्रायश्चित्त
__७-जे भिक्खू णिग्गंथीए संघाडि अण्णउत्थिएण वा गारथिएण वा सिवावेइ खिवावेतं वा साइज्जइ।
