[२०९ जो भिक्षु रात्रि में या विकाल में प्राहार या पानी सहित उद्गाल के मुह में आने के बाद पुनः उसे निगल जाता है या निगलने वाले का अनुमोदन करता है । (उसे गुरुचौमासी प्रायश्चित्त प्राता है।)
विवेचन-मर्यादा से अधिक खा लेने पर दिन में, रात्रि में या विकाल (संधिकाल) में उद्गाल पा सकता है । उद्गाल यदि गले तक आकर पुनः लौट जाये तो प्रायश्चित्त नहीं आता है किन्तु मुह में आ जाय और उसे निगल जाए तो भिक्षु को प्रायश्चित्त आता है, किन्तु दिन में निगलने पर प्रायश्चित्त नहीं आता है।
___ इस सूत्र में व्याख्याकार (भाष्य, चूर्णिकार) ने गर्म 'तवे' पर पानी की बूद का दृष्टान्त देकर समझाया है कि साधु को इतना मर्यादित आहार करना चाहिये कि जिसका जठराग्नि द्वारा पूर्ण पाचन हो जाए, अपाचन सम्बन्धी कोई विकार न होने पाए।
यह सूत्र रात्रिभोजन से सम्बन्धित सूक्ष्म मर्यादा के पालन का प्रेरक है ।

३०. जो भिक्षु ग्लान साधु का समाचार सुनकर या जानकर उसका पता नहीं लगता है या पता नहीं लगाने वाले का अनुमोदन करता है।
३१. जो भिक्षु ग्लान साधु का समाचार सुनकर या जानकर ग्लान भिक्षु की ओर जाने वाले मार्ग को छोड़कर दूसरे मार्ग से या प्रतिपथ से (जिधर से आया उधर ही) चला जाता है या जाने वाले का अनुमोदन करता है।
३२. जो भिक्षु ग्लान की सेवा में उपस्थित होकर अपने लाभ से ग्लान का निर्वाह न होने पर उसके समीप खेद प्रकट नहीं करता है या नहीं करने वाले का अनुमोदन करता है ।
३३. जो भिक्षु ग्लान की सेवा में उपस्थित होकर उसके योग्य औषध, पथ्य आदि नहीं मिलने पर उसको आकर नहीं कहता है या नहीं कहने वाले का अनुमोदन करता है। (उसे गुरुचौमासी प्रायश्चित्त आता है।)
विवेचनः-१. किसी ग्लान के सम्बन्ध में सूचना मिले कि सेवा करने वाले की उसे आवश्यकता है तो पूरी जानकारी प्राप्त करके उसकी सेवा में जाना चाहिये। .
