[निशीथसूत्र ८. अटवी के यात्रियों के निमित्त बना भोजन, ९. दुभिक्ष-पीड़ितों के लिए दिया जाने वाला भोजन, १०. दुष्काल-पीड़ितों के लिए दिया जाने वाला भोजन, ११. दीन जनों के निमित्त बना भोजन, १२. रोगियों के निमित्त बना भोजन, १३. वर्षा से पीड़ित जनों के निमित्त बना भोजन,
१४. आगंतुकों के निमित्त बना भोजन ग्रहण करता है या ग्रहण करने वाले का अनुमोदन करता है । (उसे गुरुचौमासी प्रायश्चित्त पाता है ।)
विवेचन–अनेक राजकुलों में या अनेक श्रीमन्त कुलों में प्रतिदिन उक्त प्रकार का भोजन देने की एक प्रकार की मर्यादा होती है। उनमें से किसी प्रकार का भोजन साधु ग्रहण करे तो जिनके निमित्त भोजन बनाया है, उनके अंतराय लगती है अथवा दूसरी बार भोजन बनाने की प्रारम्भजा क्रिया लगती है तथा राजपिंड ग्रहण संबंधी दोष भी लगता है।
विशेष शब्दों की व्याख्या१. दुवारिय-भत्तं-दोवारिया–दारपाला-नगर के द्वारपाल । २. बलं-चउन्विहं-पाइक्कबलं, आसबलं, हत्थिबलं, रहबलं । ३. कंतार-अडविनिग्गयाण-भुखत्ताणं । ४. दुब्भिक्ख-जं दुभिक्खे राया देति तं दुभिक्खभत्ता। ५. दमग-दमगा-रंका, तेसि भत्तं-दमगभत्तं ।
६. बद्दलिया-सत्ताह (सात दिन) बद्दले पडते भत्तं करेइ राया--अतिवृष्टि से पीड़ितों का भोजन ।
