इन छठे व सातवें उद्देशकों में केवल मैथुनसेवन के संकल्प से किये गये कार्यों के ही प्रायश्चित्त कहे गए हैं, अतः इनके अध्ययन-अध्यापन में विशेष विवेक रखना चाहिए।
इस उद्देशक में मैथुन के संकल्प से सचित्त भूमि पर बैठने आदि प्रवृत्तियों के प्रायश्चित्त कहे हैं । किन्तु मैथुन का संकल्प न होते हुए भी वे प्रवृत्तियाँ संयमजीवन में अकल्पनीय हैं । उनके प्रायश्चित्त ग्यारहवें उद्देशक में कहे गए हैं। इस प्रकार छठे-सातवें उद्देशक के अन्य अनेक विषयों के सम्बन्ध में भी समझ लेना चाहिए ।
