[७१ ३६. जे भिक्खू अप्पणो कार्यसि गंडं वा, पिलगं वा अरइयं वा अंसियं वा, भगंदलं वा, अण्णयरेणं तिक्खेणं सत्थजाएणं, आच्छिदित्ता विच्छिदित्ता पूर्व वा सोणियं वा णीहरित्ता विसोहित्ता, सीओदगवियडेण वा उसिणोदगवियडेण वा उच्छोलेज्ज वा पधोवेज्ज वा, उच्छोलेंतं वा पधोवेंतं वा

३९. जे भिक्खू अप्पणो कायंसि गंडं वा, पिलगं वा, अरइयं वा अंसियं वा, भगंदलं वा अण्णयरेणं तिक्खणं सत्थ-जाएणं, आच्छिदित्ता विच्छिदित्ता, पूयं वा सोणियं वा णीहरित्ता-विसोहित्ता, सीओदगवियडेण वा उसिणोदगवियडेण वा उच्छोलित्ता पधोवित्ता, अण्णयरेणं आलेवण-जाएणं आलिपित्ता-विलिपित्ता तेल्लेण वा जाव णवणीएण वा अन्भंगेत्ता मक्खेत्ता, अण्णयरेणं धूवजाएणं धूवेज्ज वा पधूवेज्ज वा धूवेतं वा पधूतं वा साइज्जइ।
३४. जो भिक्षु अपने शरीर पर हुए गंडमाल, पैरों आदि पर हुए गुमड़े, छोटी-छोटी फुसिया (अलाइयाँ) मसा तथा भगंदर आदि को किसी तीक्ष्ण शस्त्र से एक बार काटता है या बार-बार काटता है या ऐसा करने वाले का अनुमोदन करता है ।
३५. जो भिक्षु अपने शरीर के गंडमाल, गूमड़े, फुसियों मसे या भगंदर को किसी तीक्ष्ण शस्त्र से काटकर पीप या रक्त निकालता है या शोधन करता है, या ऐसा करने वाले का अनुमोदन करता है।
३६. जो भिक्षु अपने शरीर के गंडमाल, गूमड़े, फुसियों, मसे या भगंदर को किसी तीक्ष्ण शस्त्र से काटकर, पीप, खून निकालकर, शीतल या उष्ण अचित्त जल से एक बार या बार-बार धोता है या धोने वाले का अनुमोदन करता है ।
३७. जो भिक्षु अपने शरीर के गंडमाल, गूमड़े, फुसियों, मसे या भगंदर को किसी तीक्ष्ण शस्त्र से काटकर, पीप, खून निकालकर, शीतल या उष्ण अचित्त जल से धोकर किसी भी प्रकार का लेप-मलहम लगाता है या बार-बार लगाता या लगाने वाले का अनुमोदन करता है।
