[५९ ५७. जे भिक्खू इत्तरियं पि उहि ण पडिलेहेइ, ण पडिलेहेंतं वा साइज्जइ ।
५७. जो भिक्षु स्वल्प उपधि की भी प्रतिलेखना नहीं करता है या नहीं करने वाले का अनुमोदन करता है । ( उसे लघुमासिक प्रायश्चित्त आता है।)
विवेचन-साधु को अपने सभी उपकरणों की उभयकाल प्रतिलेखना करना आवश्यक है। छोटे से उपकरण की भी प्रतिलेखना में उपेक्षा करे तो उसे लघुमासिक प्रायश्चित्त पाता है ।
चूणिकार ने प्रतिलेखन नहीं करने से जीवों की विराधना एवं बिच्छू आदि से प्रात्मविराधना आदि अनेक दोष कहे हैं ।
जम्हा एते दोसा तम्हा सव्वोवहि दुसंझं पडिलेहियव्वो।
नि. भाष्य गा. १४३६ के अनुसार भिक्षु को सभी उपकरणों की दोनों समय प्रतिलेखना करनी चाहिये।
भाष्यकार ने प्रतिलेखन का समय जिनकल्पी के लिए सूर्योदय के बाद का ही कहा है किन्तु स्थविरकल्पी सूर्योदय के कुछ समय पूर्व भी प्रतिलेखना कर सकते हैं, ऐसा कहा है ।
___गाथा १४२५ में कहा गया है कि सूर्योदय से पूर्व निम्नोक्त दस प्रकार की उपधियों का प्रतिलेखन किया जा सकता है
मुहपोत्तिय-रयहरणे कप्पतिग णिसेज्ज चोलपट्टे य ।
संथारुत्तरपट्ट य, पेक्खिते जहुग्गमे सूरे ॥ मुहपत्ति, रजोहरण, तीन चद्दर, दो निषद्या, चोलपट्ट, संथारा व उत्तरपट्ट, इन दस की प्रतिलेखना होने पर सूर्योदय हो।
चूणि में "अण्णे भणंति" ऐसा कहकर ग्यारहवां 'दंड' भी कहा गया है।
सम्भव है कि यह गाथा तेरहवीं शताब्दी के बाद रचे गये धर्मप्रज्ञप्ति प्रादि किसी ग्रंथ से यहाँ ली गई हो।
क्योंकि उत्तराध्ययनसूत्र अध्ययन २६ गा. ८ व २१ में सूर्योदय होने पर प्रतिलेखन करने का स्पष्ट विधान है तथा उपरोक्त गाथा १४२५ के पूर्व स्वयं भाष्यकार ने दो गाथाओं में कहा है कि रात्रि में प्रतिलेखना नहीं हो सकती है । वे गाथाएं ये हैं
पडिलेहण पप्फोडण पमज्जणा चेव दिवसओ होति । पप्फोडणा पमज्जण रत्ति पडिलेहणा णत्थि ॥ १४२२ ॥ पडिलेहणा पमज्जण पायादीयाण दिवसओ होइ।
त्ति पमज्जणा पुण, भणिया पडिलेहणा पत्थि ॥ १४२३ ॥ राओ य पप्फोडण पमज्जणा य दो संभवंति, पडिलेहणा न सम्भवति अचक्खुविसयाओ।
