दूसरा उद्देशक] शय्या-संस्तारक बिना प्राज्ञा अन्यत्र ले जाने का प्रायश्चित्त
५३. जे भिक्खू पाडिहारियं वा सागारियसंतियं वा सेज्जा-संथारयं दोच्चंपि अणणण्णवेत्ता बाहि णोणेइ, णोणेतं वा साइज्जइ ।
५३. जो भिक्षु प्रत्यर्पणीय [अन्य किसी से लाये गये] या शय्यातर से ग्रहण किये गये शय्यासंस्तारक को पुनः आज्ञा लिये बिना कहीं अन्यत्र ले जाता है या ले जाने वाले का अनुमोदन करता है । ( उसे लघुमासिक प्रायश्चित्त आता है ।)
विवेचन-साधु के ठहरने के स्थान में जो शय्या-संस्तारक हो, उसके लिए “सागारियसंतियं" शब्द का प्रयोग हुआ है और अन्यत्र से लाये जाने वाले शय्या-संस्तारक के लिये "पाडिहारियं" शब्द का प्रयोग हुआ है। ये दोनों ही प्रत्यर्पणीय हैं।
जो शय्या-संस्तारक जिस मकान में रहने की अपेक्षा ग्रहण किया है, उसे किसी कारण से अन्य मकान में ले जाना हो तो उसके मालिक की आज्ञा पुनः लेना आवश्यक है। अन्यत्र से लाये गये शय्या-संस्तारक का मालिक भी प्रायः साधु के ठहरने के स्थान को ध्यान में रख कर ही देता है तथा शय्यातर भी अपने मकान में उपयोग लेने की अपेक्षा से ही देता है । इसलिये पुनः प्राज्ञा प्राप्त करना आवश्यक हो जाता है।
बिना आज्ञा लिये अन्यत्र ले जाने में अदत्त दोष लगता है तथा उसके मालिक का नाराज होना, निंदा करना, शय्या-संस्तारक का दुर्लभ होना आदि दोषों की संभावना भी रहती है। इसलिए इसका लघुमासिक प्रायश्चित्त कहा गया है।
उपलब्ध मूल पाठ में इस सूत्र के स्थान पर तीन सूत्र मिलते हैं, जिनमें यह तीसरा सूत्र है । भाष्य चूर्णिकार के समय यह एक सूत्र ही था ऐसा प्रतीत होता है । वह इस प्रकार है
"नो कप्पइ णिग्गंथाण वा णिग्गंथीण वा पडिहारियं वा सागारियसंतियं वा सेज्जासंथारयं दोच्चं पि ओग्गहं अणणुण्णवेत्ता बहिया-नीहरित्तए।"
इस पाठ से भी एक सूत्र का होना ही उचित प्रतीत होता है। इस कारण मूल में एक ही सूत्र दिया है । शेष दो सूत्र ये हैं---
जे भिक्खू पाडिहारियं सेज्जा-संथारयं अणणुवेत्ता बाहिं णीणेइ, णोणेतं वा साइज्जइ । ५३ ॥
जे भिक्खू सागारियसंतियं सेज्जा-संथारयं अणणुण्णवेत्ता बाहिं णीणेइ, णोणेतं वा साइज्जइ । ५४ ॥
तीन सूत्र होने पर अर्थ इस प्रकार होता है--- १. अशय्यातर का शय्या-संस्तारक अन्यत्र से लाया हो। २. शय्यातर का शय्या-संस्तारक उसी स्थान से लिया हो। ३. शय्यातर का शय्या-संस्तारक अन्यत्र से लाया हो। इनको पुनः आज्ञा लिये बिना अन्य मकान में ले जाए तो लघुमासिक प्रायश्चित्त आता है।
