[निशीथसूत्र
१. जो कार्य किया है उसके सम्बन्ध में पूछने पर भयभीत होकर कह दे-मैंने नहीं किया। जो कार्य नहीं किया है उसके सम्बन्ध में पूछने पर बिना विचारे कह दे-मैंने किया है। २. ऊंघते हुए को पूछने पर कह दे–मैं नहीं ऊंघ रहा हूँ।
३. अंधेरे में किसी अन्य की वस्तु को अपनी वस्तु कहना। इस प्रकार के मृषावाद के प्रायश्चित्तविधान इस सूत्र में हैं। वंचकवृत्ति से या किसी का अहित करने के लिए कहे गए असत्य वचनों को यहाँ नहीं समझना चाहिये । तृतीय महाव्रत के अतिचार का प्रायश्चित्त
२०. जे भिक्खू लहुसगं अदत्तं आइयइ, आइयंतं वा साइज्जइ ।
२०. जो भिक्षु अल्प अदत्त-ग्रहण करता है या ग्रहण करने वाले का अनुमोदन करता है, (उसे लघुमासिक प्रायश्चित्त पाता है।)
विवेचन-भिक्षु को प्रत्येक वस्तु याचना करके ही ग्रहण करनी चाहिए।
दश. अ. ६ में कहा है कि "दाँत शोधन करने के लिए तिनका (तृण) भी आज्ञा लिए बिना .. नहीं लेना चाहिए।"
व्यव. उ. ७ में कहा है कि "मार्ग में बैठना हो तो वहाँ भी आज्ञा ग्रहण करनी चाहिए।"
आचा. श्रु. २, अ. १५, में कहा है कि "भिक्षु बारंबार (सदा) आज्ञा लेने की वृत्ति वाला होना चाहिए अन्यथा कभी अदत्त भी ग्रहण किया जाना संभव है।"
भग. श. १६, उ. २ में वर्णन है कि अवग्रह ग्रहण के प्रकारों को जानकर तीर्थंकर के शासन के सम्पूर्ण भिक्षुत्रों को भरतक्षेत्र में विचरने की और स्वामी रहित पदार्थों व स्थानों के उपयोग में लेने की शक्रेन्द्र आज्ञा देता है।
इसीलिए ऐसे पदार्थों व स्थलों की आज्ञा ग्रहण करने की समाचारिक विधि है । जिसके लिए "शकेन्द्र की आज्ञा" अथवा "अणुजाणह जस्सुग्गहो" ऐसा उच्चारण किया जाता है ।
आचा. श्रु. २, प्र. ७ में कहा है-अपने संभोगी साधु के उपकरण भी आज्ञा प्राप्त कर के ही ग्रहण करना चाहिए।
सूय. श्रु १, अ. ३, प्रश्न. श्रु. २, अ. ३, उत्त. अ. १९ तथा अ. २५ आदि अनेक आगम पाठों में अदत्त ग्रहण करने का निषेध है ।। चतुर्थ महाव्रत के अतिक्रमण का प्रायश्चित्त

1. When asked about an action that has been done, to say in fear, "I did not do it." When asked about an action that has not been done, to say without thinking, "I did it." 2. When asked while sleeping, to say, "I am not sleeping."

In Bhag. Ś. 16, U. 2, it is described that knowing the types of avagraha, Śakrendra gives permission to all the bhikṣutrās of the Tīrthankara's reign to wander in the Bharatakṣetra and to use ownerless objects and places.
Therefore, there is a news-based method of seeking permission for such objects and places. For which, "Śakrendra's permission" or "Aṇujāṇaha Jassuggaho" is uttered.
In Āchā. Śru. 2, Pr. 7, it is said that "Even the equipment of one's sambhogi sādhus should be accepted only after obtaining permission."
In Sūy. Śru 1, A. 3, Praśna. Śru. 2, A. 3, Utt. A. 19 and A. 25, and many other Āgama texts, there is a prohibition against accepting something not given.
