अनुत्तरौपपातिकदशा पडिहारीओ, बत्तीसं बाहिरियाओ पडिहारीओ, बत्तीसं मालाकारीओ, बत्तीसं पेसणकारीओ, अण्णं वा सुबहुं हिरण्णं वा सुवण्णं वा कंसं वा दूसं वा विउलधणकणग० जाव संतसारसावएजं, अलाहि जाव आसत्तमाओ कुलवंसाओ पकामं दाउं, पकामं भोत्तुं, पकामं परिभाएउं।
तए णं से धन्ने कुमारे एगमेगाए भजाए एगमेगं हिरण्णकोडिं दलयइ, एगमेगं सुवण्णकोडिं दलयइ, एगमेगं मउडं मउडप्पवरं दलयइ, एवं तं चेव सव्वं जाव एगमेगं पेसणकार दलयइ, अण्णं वा सुबहुं हिरण्णं वा जाव परिभाएउं। तए णं से धन्ने कमारे उप्पि पासाय] जाव' फुटूंतेहि जाव विहरड़।
___ अनन्तर धन्यकुमार को बाल-भाव से उन्मुक्त जानकर, यावत् विज्ञान जिसका शीघ्रता से परिपक्व अवस्था में पहुँच गया है, यौवनावस्थाशाली हुआ,७२ कलाओं में विशेष रूप से निष्णात हुआ, जिसके नौ अंग (दो कान, दो नेत्र, दो नासिका छिद्र, एक जीभ, एक स्पर्शन एवं एक मन) व्यक्त-जागृत हो गए, अठारह प्रकार की भाषाओं में विशारद हुआ, गीत एवं रति में अनुरागयुक्त हुआ, गान्धर्व गान में एवं नाट्य क्रिया में पारङ्गत हुआ, तथा शृङ्गार के गृह की तरह सुन्दर वेष से युक्त हुआ, समुचित चेष्टा में - समुचित विलास में – नेत्रजनित विकार में, समुचित संलाप में एवं समुचित काकुभाषण में दक्ष हुआ, तथा – समुचित व्यवहारों में कुशल हुआ, अश्वयुद्ध करने में कुशल हुआ, गजयुद्ध करने में कुशल हुआ, रथयोधी हुआ, बाहुप्रयोधी हुआ, बाहुप्रमर्दी हुआ — बाहु से भी कठोर वस्तु को चूर-चूर करने में समर्थ हुआ तथा भोग में समर्थ हुआ, ऐसा जानकर भद्रा सार्थवाही ने बत्तीस सुन्दर प्रासाद बनवाए जो विशाल और उत्तुङ्ग थे।
[वे भवन अपनी उज्ज्वल कान्ति के समूह से हँसते हुए से प्रतीत होते थे। मणि, सुवर्ण और रत्नों की रचना से विचित्र थे। वायु से फहराती हुई और विजय को सूचित करने वाली वैजयन्ती — पताकाओं से तथा छत्रातिछत्रों (एक-दूसरे के ऊपर रहे हुए छत्रों) ये युक्त थे। वे इतने ऊँचे थे कि उनके शिखर आकाशतल को उल्लंघन करते थे। उनकी जालियों के मध्य में रत्नों के पंजर ऐसे प्रतीत होते थे, मानो उनके नेत्र हों। उनमें मणियों और कनक की थूभिकाएँ (स्तूपिकाएँ) बनी थीं। उनमें साक्षात् अथवा चित्रित किये हुए शतपत्र और पुण्डरीक कमल विकसित हो रहे थे। वे तिलक रत्नों एवं अर्द्ध चन्द्रों—एक प्रकार के सोपानों से युक्त थे, अथवा भित्तियों में चन्दन आदि के आलेख (हाथे) चर्चित थे। नाना प्रकार की मणिमय मालाओं से अलंकृत थे। भीतर और बाहर से चिकने थे। उनके आंगन में सुवर्ण की रुचिर बालुका बिछी थी। उनका स्पर्श सुखप्रद था। रूप बड़ा ही शोभन था। उन्हें देखते ही चित्त में प्रसन्नता होती थी यावत् वे महल प्रतिरूप थे अत्यन्त मनोहर थे।
उन प्रासादों के मध्य में एक उत्तम भवन का निर्माण करवाया जो अनेक सैकड़ों स्तम्भों पर आधारित था। उसमें लीलायुक्त अनेक पुतलियाँ स्थापित की हुई थीं। उसमें ऊँची और सुनिर्मित वज्ररत्न की वेदिका थी और तोरण थे। मनोहर निर्मित पुतलियों सहित उत्तम, मोटे एवं प्रशस्त वैडूर्यरत्न के स्तम्भ थे वह विविध प्रकार के मणियों सुवर्ण तथा रत्नों से खचित होने के कारण उज्ज्वल दिखाई देता था। उसका भूमिभाग बिल्कुल सम, विशाल, पक्का और रमणीय था। उस भवन में ईहामृग, वृषभ, तुरग, मनुष्य, मकर आदि के चित्र चित्रित किये हुए थे। स्तम्भों पर बनी वज्ररत्न की वेदिका से युक्त होने के कारण रमणीय दिखाई पड़ता था। समान श्रेणी में स्थित विद्याधरों के युगल यंत्र द्वारा चलते दीख पड़ते थे। वह भवन हजारों किरणों से व्याप्त और हजारों चित्रों से युक्त होने से देदीप्यमान और १-२. अणुत्तरोववाइयदशा सूत्र ३.
