तणं वसुदेवे राया पच्चूसकालसमयंसि कोडुंबियपुरिसे सद्दावेइ, सद्दावेत्ता एवं वयासी" खिप्पामेव भो देवाणुप्पिया! अट्ठं गमहाणिमित्त-सुत्तत्थधारए, विविहसत्थकु सले, सुविणलक्खणपाठए सद्दावेह ।" तए णं ते कोडुंबियपुरिसा जाव पडिसुणित्ता वसुदेवस्स रणो अंतियाओ पडिणिक्खमंति पडिणिक्खमित्ता सिग्घं तुरियं चवलं चंडं वेइयं जेणेव सुविणलक्खणपाढगाणं गिहाई तेणेव उवागच्छंति तेणेव उवागच्छित्ता ते सुविणलक्खणपाढए सद्दावेंति । तए णं ते सुविणलक्खणपाढगा वसुदेवस्स रण्णो कोडुंबियपुरिसेहिं सद्दाविया समाणा हट्ठतुट्ठ० ण्हाया कय० जाव सरीरा सिद्धत्थग-हरियालियकयमंगलमुद्धाणा सएहिं सएहिं गेहेहिंतो णिग्गच्छंति, णिग्गच्छित्ता जेणेव कण्हस्स रणो भवणवरवडेंसए तेणेव उवागच्छंति, उवागच्छित्ता करयल वसुदेवं जएणं विजएणं वद्धावेंति । तए णं ते सुविणलक्खणपाढगा वसुदेवेणं रण्णा वंदिय-पूइअ - सक्कारिअ - सम्माणिआ समाणा पत्तेयं पत्तेयं पुव्वण्णत्थेसु भद्दासणेसु णिसीयंति । तए णं से वसुदेवे राया देवनं देविं जवणियंतरियं ठावेइ, ठावेत्ता पुप्प - फल पडिपुण्णहत्थे परेणं विणणं ते सुविणलक्खणपाठए एवं वयासी - " एवं खलु देवाणुप्पिया! देवई देवी अज्ज तंसि तारिसगंसि वासघरंसि जाव सीहं सुविणे पासित्ता णं पडिबुद्धा, तण्णं देवाणुप्पिया ! एयस्स ओरालस्स जाव के मण्णे कल्लाणे फलवित्तिविसेसे भविस्सइ ?
तए णं सुविणलक्खणपाढगा वसुदेवस्स रण्णो अंतियं एयमठ्ठे सोच्चा णिसम्म हट्टतुट्ट० तं सुविणं ओगिण्हंति, ओगिण्हित्ता ईहं अणुप्पविसंति, अणुप्पविसित्ता तस्स सुविणस्स अत्थोग्गहणं करेंति, तस्स० अण्णमण्णेणं सद्धिं संचालेंति, संचालित्ता तस्स सुविणस्स लद्धट्ठा गहियट्ठा पुच्छियट्ठा विणिच्छियट्ठा अभिगयट्ठा वसुदेवस्स रण्णो पुरओ सुविणसत्थाइं उच्चारेमाणा उच्चारेमाणा एवं वयासि " एवं खलु देवाणुप्पिया! अम्हं सुविणसत्थंसि बायालीसं सुविणा, तीसं महासुविणा, बावन्तरिं सव्वसुविणा दिट्ठा। तत्थ णं देवाणुप्पिया ! तित्थयरमायरो वा चक्कवट्टिमायरो वा तिथयरंसि वा चक्कवट्टिंसि वा गब्भं वक्कममाणंसि एएसिं तीसाए महासुविणाणं इमे चोद्दस महासुविणे पासित्ता णं पडिबुज्झति । तं जहा
