९-तयाणंतरं च णं तच्चे संघाडए बारवईए नयरीए उच्च-नीय जाव' पडिलाभेइ, पडिलाभेत्ता एवं वयासी
किण्णं देवाणुप्पिया! कण्हस्स वासुदेवस्स इमीसे बारवईए नयरीए नवजोयणवित्थिण्णाए जाव पच्चक्खं देवलोगभूयाए समणा निग्गंथा उच्च-नीय जाव [मज्झिमाइं कुलाइं घरसमुदाणस्स भिक्खायरियाए] अडमाणा भत्तपाणं नो लभंति, जण्णं ताई चेव कुलाई भत्तपाणाए भुज्जोभुजो अणुप्पविसंति?
तए णं ते अणगारा देवइं देविं एवं वयासी-नो खलु देवाणुप्पिए! कण्णहस्स वासुदेवस्स इमीसे बारवईए नयरीए जाव' देवलोगभूयाए समणा निग्गंथा उच्च-नीय जाव अडमाणा भत्तपाणं णो लभंति, णो चेव णं ताई ताई कुलाई दोच्चं पि तच्चं पि भत्तपाणाए अणुप्पविसंति।
___ एवं खलु देवाणुप्पिए! अम्हे भद्दिलपुरे नयरे नागस्स गाहावइस्स पुत्ता सुलसाए भारियाए अत्तया छ भायरो सहोदरा सरिसया जाव नल-कुब्बरसमाणा अरहओ अरिट्ठनेमिस्स अंतिए धम्म सोच्चा संसारभउव्विग्गा भीया जम्ममरणाणं मुंडा जाव पव्वइया। तए णं अम्हे जं चेव दिवसं पव्वइआ तं चेव दिवसं अरहं अरिट्ठनेमिं वंदामो नमसामो, इमं एयारूवं अभिग्गहं ओगिण्हामो-इच्छामो णं भंते! तुब्भेहिं अब्भणुण्णाया समाणा जाव अहासुहं देवाणुप्पिया।
तए णं अम्हे अरहया अरिट्ठणेमिणा अब्भणुण्णाया समाणा जावज्जीवाए छठेंछट्टेणं जाव विहरामो। तं अम्हे अज्ज छट्ठक्खमणपारणयंसि पढमाए पोरिसीए जाव [सज्झायं करेत्ता, बीयाए पोरिसीए झाणं झियाइत्ता तइयाए पोरिसीए अरहया अरिट्ठनेमिणा अब्भणुण्णाय समाणा तिहिं संघाडएहिं बारवईए नयरीए उच्चनीयमज्झिमाइं कुलाइं घरसमुदाणस्स भिखायरियाए] अडमाणा तव गेहं अणुप्पविट्ठा। तं णो खलु देवाणुप्पिए! ते चेव णं अम्हे, अम्हे णं अण्णे। देवई देविं एवं वदंति, वदित्ता जामेव दिसं पाउब्भूया तामेव दिसं पडिगया।
इसके बाद मुनियों का तीसरा संघाडा आया यावत् उसे भी देवकी देवी प्रतिलाभ देती है। उनको प्रतिलाभ देकर वह इस प्रकार बोली-"देवानुप्रियो ! क्या कृष्ण वासुदेव की इस बारह योजन लम्बी, नव योजन चौड़ी प्रत्यक्ष स्वर्गपुरी के समान द्वारका नगरी में श्रमण निग्रंथों को उच्च-नीच एवं मध्यम कुलों के गृह-समुदायों से, भिक्षार्थ भ्रमण करते हुए आहार-पानी प्राप्त नहीं होता? जिससे उन्हें आहार-पानी के लिये जिन कुलों में पहले आ चुके हैं, उन्हीं कुलों में पुनः आना पड़ता है?"
देवकी द्वारा इस प्रकार कहने पर वे मुनि देवकी देवी से इस प्रकार बोले- "देवानुप्रिये ! ऐसी बात तो नहीं है कि कृष्ण वासुदेव की यावत् प्रत्यक्ष स्वर्ग के समान, इस द्वारका नगरी में श्रमण-निर्ग्रन्थ उच्च-नीच-मध्यम कुलों में यावत् भ्रमण करते हुए आहार-पानी प्राप्त नहीं करते। और मुनिजन भी जिन घरों से एक बार आहार ले आते हैं, उन्हीं घरों से दूसरी या तीसरी बार आहारार्थ नहीं जाते हैं।"

Then those monks said to the Devī (Devaki): "Devaanupiya!
