- [१६७ मंगल-) पायच्छित्ता सुद्धप्पावेसाइं जाव (मंगल्लाइं वत्थाइ पवर परिहिया) अप्पमहग्घाभरणालंकियसरीरा, चेडिया-चक्कवाल-परिकिण्णा धम्मियं जाणप्पवरं दुरूहइ, दुरूहित्ता पोलापुर नगरं मझंमज्झेणं निग्गच्छइ, निग्गच्छित्ता जेणेव सहस्संबवणे उज्जाणे तेणेव उवागच्छइ, उवागच्छित्ता धम्मियाओ जाणाओ पच्चोरुहइ, पच्चोरूहित्ता चेडियाचक्कवाल-परिवुडा जेणेव समणे भगवं महावीरे तेणेव उवागच्छइ, उवागच्छित्ता तिक्खुत्तो जाव (आयाहिणं पयाहिणं करेइ, करेत्ता) वंदइ नमसइ, वंदित्ता नमंसित्ता नच्चासन्ने नाइदूरे जाव (सुस्सूसमाणा, नमसमाणा अभिमुहे विणएणं) पंजलिउडा ठिइया चेव पज्जुवासइ।
___तब सकडालपुत्र की पत्नी अग्निमित्रा ने स्नान किया, (नित्य-नैमित्तिक कार्य किए, देह-सज्जा की, दुःस्वप्न आदि दोष-निवारण हेतु मंगल-विधान किया), शुद्ध, सभायोग्य (मांगलिक, उत्तम) वस्त्र पहने, थोड़े-से बहुमूल्य आभूषणों से देह को अलंकृत किया। दासियों के समूह से घिरी वह धार्मिक उत्तम रथ पर सवार हुई, सवार होकर पोलासपुर नगर के बीच से गुजरती सहस्त्राम्रवन उद्यान में आई, धार्मिक उत्तम रथ से नीचे उतरी, दासियों के समूह से घिरी जहाँ भगवान् महावीर विराजित थे, वहाँ गई, जाकर (तीन बार आदक्षिण-प्रदक्षिणा की), वंदन-नमस्कार किया, भगवान् महावीर के न अधिक निकट न अधिक दूर सम्मुख अवस्थित हो नमन करती हुई, सुनने की उत्कंठा लिए, विनयपूर्वक हाथ जोड़े पर्युपासना करने लगी।
२०९. तए णं समणे भगवं महावीरे अग्गिमित्ताए तीसे य जाव' धम्मं कहेइ। श्रमण भगवान् महावीर ने अग्निमित्रा को तथा उपस्थित परिषद् को धर्मोपदेश दिया।
२१०. तए णं सा अग्गिमित्ता भारिया समणस्स भगवओ महावीरस्स अंतिए धम्म सोच्चा, निसम्म हट्ठ-तुट्ठा समणं भगवं महावीरं वंदइ नमसइ, वंदित्ता, नमंसित्ता एवं वयासीसदहामि णं, भंते! निग्गंथं पावयणं जाव (पत्तियामि णं, भंते! निग्गंथं पावयणं, रोएमि णं भंते! निग्गंथं पावयणं, एवमेयं, भंते!) से जहेयं तुब्भे वयह। जहा णं देवाणुप्पियाणं अंतिए बहवे उग्गा, भोगा जाव (राइण्णा, खत्तिया, माहणा, भडा, जोहा, पसत्थारो, मल्लई, लेच्छई, अण्णे य बहवे राईसर-तलवर-माडंविय-कोडं बिय-इब्भ-सेट्ठि-सेणावइसत्थवाहप्पभिइया मुंडा भवित्ता अगाराओ अणगारियं) पव्वइया, नो खलु अहं तहा संचाएमि देवाणुप्पियाणं अंतिए मुंडा भवित्ता जाव ( अगाराओ अणगारियं पव्वइत्तए।) अहं णं देवाणुप्पियाणं अंतिए पंचाणुव्वइयं सत्त-सिक्खावइयं दुवालसविहं गिहि-धम्म पडिवजिस्सामि।
