इस प्रकार जैसे अवगाहना संस्थान नामक प्रज्ञापना- पद में औदारिकशरीर की अवगाहना का प्रमाण कहा गया है, वैसा ही यहां सम्पूर्ण रूप से कहना चाहिए। इस प्रकार यावत् मनुष्य की उत्कृष्ट शरीर- अवगाहना तीन गव्यूति (कोश) कही गई है।
५९८ – कइविहे णं भंते! वेडव्वियसरीरे पन्नत्ते ? गोयमा ! दुविहे पन्नत्ते – एगिंदियवेउव्वियसरीरे य पंचिंदिय - वेडव्वियसरीरे अ । एवं जाव सणकुमारे आढत्तं जाव अनुत्तराणं भवधारणिज्जा जाव तेसिं रयणी परिहायइ ।
भगवन्! वैक्रियिकशरीर कितने प्रकार का कहा गया है ?
गौतम ! वैक्रियिकशरीर दो प्रकार का कहा गया है – एकेन्द्रिय वैक्रियिकशरीर और पंचेन्द्रिय वैकियिकशरीर ।
इस प्रकार यावत् सनत्कुमार-कल्प से लेकर अनुत्तर विमानों तक के देवों का वैक्रियिक भवधारणीय शरीर कहना । वह क्रमशः एक-एक रनि कम होता है ।
विवेचन - वैक्रियिकशरीर एकेन्द्रियों में केवल वायुकायिक जीवों के ही होता है। विकलेन्द्रिय और सम्मूच्छिम तिर्यंचों के वह नहीं होता । नारकों में, भवनवासी, वानव्यन्तर, ज्योतिष्क देवों में, सौधर्म ईशान कल्पों के देवों में और सनत्कुमारकल्प से लेकर अनुत्तर विमानवासी देवों तक वैक्रियिक शरीर होता है । नारकों का भवधारणीय शरीर सातवें नरक में पाँच सौ धनुष से लेकर घटता हुआ प्रथम नरक में सात धनुष, तीन हाथ और छह अंगुल होता है । भवनवासी, वानव्यन्तर, ज्योतिष्क, सौधर्म और ईशान कल्पवासी देवों का भवधारणीय शरीर सात रत्नि या हाथ होता है । सनत्कुमार- माहेन्द्र देवों का भवधारणीय शरीर छह हाथ होता है । ब्रह्म-लान्तक देवों का पाँच हाथ, महाशुक्र - सहस्रार देवों का चार हाथ, आनत-प्राणत, आरण- अच्युत देवों का तीन हाथ, ग्रैवेयक देवों का दो हाथ और अनुत्तर विमानवासी देवों का भवधारणीय शरीर एक हाथ होता है। जो तिर्यंच गर्भज हैं, और जो मनुष्य गर्भज हैं, उनके भवधारणीय वैक्रियिक शरीर नहीं होता है, किन्तु लब्धिप्रत्यय-जनित वैक्रियिक शरीर ही किसी-किसी के होता है। सबमें नहीं। उनमें भी वह कर्मभूमिज, संख्यातवर्षायुष्क और पर्याप्तक जीवों के ही होता है । उत्तर - वैक्रियिक शरीर मनुष्य के उत्कृष्ट कुछ अधिक एक लाख योजन की अवगाहनावाला होता है और देवों के एक लाख योजन अवगाहना वाला । तिर्यंचों के उत्कृष्ट सौ पृथक्त्व योजन अवगाहना वाला हो सकता है।
५९९–आहारयसरीरे णं भंते! कइविहे पन्नत्ते ? गोयमा ! एगाकारे पन्नत्ते ।
जड़ एगाकारे पन्नत्ते, किं मणुस्स आहारयसरीरे अमणुस्स आहारयसरीरे ? गोयमा ! मणुस्स आहारगसरीरे, णो अमणुस्स आहारगसरीरे ।
एवं जइ मणुस्स आहारगसरीरे, किं गब्भवक्कं तियमणुस्स आहारगसरीरे, संमुच्छिममणुस्स आहारगसरीरे ?
गोयमा! गब्भवक्कंतिय- मणुस्स आहारयसरीरे नो संमुच्छिम मणुस्स आहारयसरीरे । मइ गब्भवक्कंतिय- मणुस्स आहारयसरीरे, किं कम्मभूमिग० अकम्मभूमिग० ? गोयमा ! कम्मभूमिग०, नो अकम्मभूमिग० ।

Gautama! The Vaikriyika body is said to be of two kinds - one-sense Vaikriyika body and five-sense Vaikriyika body.
