अष्टाशीतिस्थानक-समवाय]
[१४५ ऊपर महाहिमवन्त कूट है, उसकी ऊंचाई पाँच सौ योजन है। इन तीनों को जोड़ने पर (८०००+२००+ ५००-८७००) सूत्रोक्त सतासी सौ योजन का अन्तर सिद्ध हो जाता है। इसी प्रकार रुक्मी वर्षधर पर्वत दो सौ योजन और उसके ऊपर का रुक्मी कूट पाँच सौ योजन ऊंचे हैं। अतः रुक्मी कूट के ऊपरी भाग से सौगन्धिक कांड के नीचे तक का सतासी सौ योजन का अन्तर भी सिद्ध है।

अष्टाशीतिस्थानक-समवाय ४०८-एगमेगस्स णं चंदिम–सूरियस्स अट्ठासीइ अट्ठासीइ महग्गहा परिवारो पण्णत्तो। प्रत्येक चन्द्र और सूर्य के परिवार में अठासी-अठासी महाग्रह कहे गये हैं।
४०९-दिट्ठिवायस्स णं अट्ठासीइं सुत्ताई पण्णत्ताई, तं जहा-उज्जसुयं परिणयापरिणयं एवं अट्ठासीइ सुत्ताणि भाणियव्याणि जहा नंदीए।
दृष्टिवाद नामक बारहवें अंग के सूत्र नामक दूसरे भेद में अठासी सूत्र कहे गये हैं। जैसे ऋ , परिणता-परिणत सूत्र इस प्रकार नन्दीसूत्र के अनुसार अठासी सूत्र कहना चाहिए। (इनका विशेष वर्णन आगे १४७ वें स्थानक में किया गया है)।
४१०-मंदरस्स णं पव्वयस्स पुरच्छिमिल्लाओ चरमंताओ गोथुभस्स आवासपव्वयस्स पुरच्छिमिल्ले चरमंते एस णं अट्ठासीइं जोयणसहस्साइं अबाहाए अंतरे पण्णत्ते। एवं चउसु वि दिसासु नेथव्वं।
मन्दर पर्वत के पूर्वी चरमान्त भाग से गोस्तूप आवास पर्वत का पूर्वी चरमान्त भाग अठासी सौ (८८००) योजन अन्तरवाला कहा गया है। इसी प्रकार चारों दिशाओं में आवास पर्वतों का अन्तर जानना चाहिए।
विवेचन-सतासीवें स्थानक में आवास पर्वतों का मेरु पर्वत से सतासी हजार योजन का अन्तर बताया गया है, उसमें गोस्तूप आदि चारों आवास पर्वतों के एक-एक हजार योजन विस्तार को जोड़ देने पर अठासी हजार योजन का सूत्रोक्त अन्तर सिद्ध हो जाता है।
