of the rulers). (20) Rang-Khana : (Preparation of colours of all kinds). (21) Surat-Khana : (The drawing of pictures and portraits was
the main function of this department). (22) Khyal-Khana : (Associated with the preparation of fire
works and their display on important festi
vals and functions). (23) Shutar-Khana : (Maintenance of camels and their supply
was the main function of this department). (24) Seewan-Graha : (This section dealt with the sewing of the
royal robes for the rulers and their house
hold members. (25) Ghoda-Nikas : (This section collected taxes on the import (Nakkhas)
and export of horses in the state). (26) Dag-Ghoda
(The branding of horses, maintained by the jagirdars was, the main function of this
deparment). (27) Mewa-Khana : (This department dealt with the supply of
dry fruits for the use of the rulers and their
household members). (28) Chhapa-Khana : (Dyeing and designing of the clothes); later
on the name was given to State Press. (29) Agra Jantra Graha : (This section supplied articles required for
performing yagña). (30) Maśala-Khana : (Department to make arrangements for
lights, chiefly the Maśāl's used at the time
of the marches of the army). (31) Imarat
: (Construction and maintenance of the
buildings belonging to the state). (32) Gunijana-Khana : (This department made necessary arrange
ments for musical performances by the
singers). (33) Rośana-Baqi
(The daily accounts of Kothiyar Huzuri, showing the amount of balance receipt, and expenditure of various Karkhanas e.g. Sileh Khana, Topkhana etc. were maintained by this deptt.).
